I know many people like Byrd, they are still as racist as they ever were but they're going along to get rich and powerful.
Racism was just too great a crisis to waste!
I heard a clip of these remarks by Slick Willie, and the worst part of this ‘whitewash’ was the clapping of the congregation after Clinton had, essentially, accused everyone in West Virginia of being racist. I had to wonder if any black people were at the service.
But I wasn’t curious enough to actually try to look at any video! LOL!
As a native-born West Virginia, I was outraged by Clinton’s remarks. And anybody who has been elected president should be smart enough to know that West Virginia’s founding was a repudiation of slavery.
What a buffoon!
He was a racist, plain and simple.
