Citizen has “Standing” to contest the eligibility of candidates for office

...At the end of last November, I decided to learn eligibility law in Illinois to find out how it was that there was this issue about Obama’s eligibility.  ... I learned how it was that no one in the state of Illinois at any level of government is ever verified to be constitutionally eligible. ... In regard to 2008, I think that people didn’t know about the law ... through this five-day contest period unless somehow, it’s unveiled in the public and then there’s an uprising and then the state’s attorney might somehow file a charge later on. And it’s not just Illinois; it’s all across the country.  When I went out on the Tea Party Express, I said to people that the eligibility issue is not about just Mr. Obama; it’s about our nation having a constitutional government....Is there a chance that if someone had objected during the five-day contest period back in 2007 or 2008 that Obama might have actually had to show his birth certificate and other proof that he is a “natural born Citizen”? MS. MERONI: Yes, and that’s one of the things I’m testing. Going directly back to Mr. Obama, by testing it now, it gives us an understanding of what we’re going to face in 2011... and if he doesn’t qualify, then he’s not even going to run. That’s what I think: if he doesn’t qualify, he’s not going to run.... To me, he never intended to be in office any longer than one term, and of course there are grave questions about his constitutional eligibility that have never been answered.... So one person could do what you’re doing during any election cycle as long as it’s during the designated period and file an objection to Obama’s constitutional eligibility and have standing to find out?

a lengthy 'MUST READ'

Here's the bet: he resigns before 2012 OR doesn't run for second term.

He’s not going to resign and he’s going to run for a second term. We’re going to have our hands full again with widespread voter fraud but a lot less people will be fooled by the hope and change BS. The GOP has to run a strong candidate though, of course everyone has a different opinion on who that candidate should be.

My bet is no elections in 2012.

Who would be responsible for dragging our dear FLOTUS out of their party house, kicking and screaming?

Great read, and brave lady.

I recall Obama won his early career contests by disqualifying the opposition through legal loopholes and petitions. It would be ironic if the karma comes back to end his career in the same way.

There were widespread expectations of no elections from FReepers and others on the right in 2000. There were widespread expectations of no elections in 2004 and 2008 from the left. This is a common tin foil hat belief.

There will be elections in 2012.

If he gets amnesty for his 30-40 million new socialist voters, America as we knew it is finished until Americans rise up and exercise the 2nd Amendment rights.

There’s never been an accumulation of power-real or imagined- as under Mr. O.

He or his minions have been striping folks of monetary power and communicatave resouces. It would be unwise to write this $hitforbrains off as a dolt.

“But she cannot open up that application to count the number of signatures that are there, nor can she check to see if those signatures are valid. The only way that can be done is through someone objecting. So what usually happens then is that political candidates will object and then they get to look inside to see the signatures.”

This, I believe, is what obama did to challenge and then invalidate his competition in running for senate. He’s the last one who should object to being challenged. Anyway, the idea that citizens “don’t have standing” to challenge our own representatives is absurd. Surely a good lawyer can make the case that eligibility requirements, by virtue of their own existence, must be verified.

I’m in on that bet. I’ll go so far as saying there will be no elections this fall.

The whole eligibility thing is a waste of time. We are in a completely lawless age. If Hussein shot Michelle my belle on the White House lawn he would get away with it.

(’scuse me while I load my magazines)

I would love to see speculations as to what in the constitution could be used to suspend national elections and have the military go along with it. Military people like to be paid as well so it would have to take bribery on a massive scale(a la the Roman caesars) for Obama to take total control. The country is too large and widely diverse. An invasion perhaps would do it, but the temptation would be that some might join the invaders figuring that Obama’s regime would be worse than the one invading us.

The modus operandi of the current clowns is to lie and slip things under the radar, banking on the natural law abiding tendencies of the US citizens to keep any revolutionary impulses in check. They are banking on their women suporters frankly, to try to keep conservative minded men in line. That will only go so far as I’m already seeing indications that many women Obama supporters, having to deal with cranky unemployed husbands and boyfriends, are starting to turn on this administration in droves. The only reason the Dem’s are in power are because of its women supporters. Even morally conservative women go for Dem’s in high numbers because of the family nest friendly freebies the Dem’s purport to offer. What family minded woman isn’t going to be attracted to ed and med bennies that would enhance their children’s lives?

Not from me, nor do I recall any such discussion. Maybe you could come up with a few examples since you suggest this was "widespread"?

That the Dims might have speculated regarding Bush canceling elections wouldn't strike me as particularly unusual as they have a habit of projecting illegal actions they would like to employ upon Republicans.

There are no national elections. Elections are run by the States or their subdivisions. There was a primary election scheduled in New York City on September 11, 2001. It was postponed. As for the military, I think this may be one of the reasons that O is comfortable having them continue to fight in Afghanistan. But I doubt that the military is any more organized to stage a coup than the citizenry is. My small sample of random military strangers does suggest that he is detested among the military.

I wasn’t thinking of a military coup, so much as just getting them to enforce martial law should Obama try to take control.

I second your prediction. Even when Rome had emperorors, they went through the motions of electing senators. We will have something called an election. And there’s a good chance that fraud and insto-voter illegals will not destroy the public will completely. But the numbers could be artificially shifted dramatically if the Congress of 2010 lacks conservative spine.
