Citizen has “Standing” to contest the eligibility of candidates for office

...At the end of last November, I decided to learn eligibility law in Illinois to find out how it was that there was this issue about Obama’s eligibility.  ... I learned how it was that no one in the state of Illinois at any level of government is ever verified to be constitutionally eligible. ... In regard to 2008, I think that people didn’t know about the law ... through this five-day contest period unless somehow, it’s unveiled in the public and then there’s an uprising and then the state’s attorney might somehow file a charge later on. And it’s not just Illinois; it’s all across the country.  When I went out on the Tea Party Express, I said to people that the eligibility issue is not about just Mr. Obama; it’s about our nation having a constitutional government....Is there a chance that if someone had objected during the five-day contest period back in 2007 or 2008 that Obama might have actually had to show his birth certificate and other proof that he is a “natural born Citizen”? MS. MERONI: Yes, and that’s one of the things I’m testing. Going directly back to Mr. Obama, by testing it now, it gives us an understanding of what we’re going to face in 2011... and if he doesn’t qualify, then he’s not even going to run. That’s what I think: if he doesn’t qualify, he’s not going to run.... To me, he never intended to be in office any longer than one term, and of course there are grave questions about his constitutional eligibility that have never been answered.... So one person could do what you’re doing during any election cycle as long as it’s during the designated period and file an objection to Obama’s constitutional eligibility and have standing to find out?

I said there would be elections. I didn’t say they’d be honest. :(

Just go to http://www.thepostemail.com/2010/07/03/citizen-has-standing-to-contest-the-eligibility-of-candidates-for-office/ When I clicked on the link you provided, it was wrong and took me to a search area. The problem is that you have a link to google images in the address and therefore, it was the wrong link. It was not spam, just an error on your part. BTW, Google fights spam--I know, I was a Google ad rater for a couple of years and ran into lots of areas in which they fought it.

I appreciate your help, but I also clicked on links. It can’t possibly be a typo on my part. I clicked on your link too — blank page.

Somehow google managed to spam google desktop in my system. I wonder if that has something to do with it? I can’t get rid of the darn thing, and it tries to automatically kick me online sometimes. I complained to google and received no response.

Or it could be that I set my browser to not load images. I frequently run into similar problems at WND. I click on a link and end up with a “google images” page.

If so, it is my bet there will be a shooting rebellion,

If it happens, it will take a lot more than the SS to protect Obama's sorry marxist ass.

My bet is no elections in 2012.

Oh, the elections will come off, but the world ends on 12/23/2012 (Maya calendar).

It’s probably time to get someone to take a look at your computer. It’s not behaving properly, as you may have noticed. I had no problem loading my link.

I think country and nation can be used interchangebly, though I certainly agree with the thrust of what you are saying. Do we go back and change the song from “My country,’tis of Thee” to “My nation, ‘tis of Thee” in the spirit of the correct usage of “nation” vs. “country”?

Yep. The election sham has a vital function in the illusion.

-- Do you vote? --

Yes, depending on the office and candidates. My point was that the right to vote is not an equivalent to living in a government that limits itself according to the constitution.

But many people draw a connection there; for example, if they can vote, then the outcome is fair. The vote is an important ritual, but it need not represent personal freedom or limited government in order to placate the masses. In fact, a fraction of the masses votes for MORE government.

“I don’t think that option’s on the ballot.”

It actually is the only item on the ballot. If the Pubs win both houses of congress, Bambi is toast. But it is us, the American people who have to make it happen.

Ah, yes, the poem "Pikes Peak" later turned into the song "America the Beautiful".
Let's see...choosing between the words of the Founding Fathers and the words of a poem turned into song by a Wellesley College alumni/faculty member...that's such a hard choice.

I'll stick with door number one, Monty, and ask you to come up with something better for comparison.

There were many times I read on Freep that Clinton was going to declare Martial Law, and there would be no election in 2000. I don’t know that I paid enough attention to say whether or not it was “widespread”. It was frequently posted.

Since you're wanting to be so correct, let me point out that Katharine Lee Bates (the Wellesley College alumna [not alumni] and professor) did not set her poem to music. I am assuming you meant "by a Wellesley College . . ." to jump over "turned into a song" and modify "poem" directly, but it's not clear.

You seem to have gotten the gist of things.
I'm not perfect and am fallible, ya know.
(and if you were in as much pain as I am these days you would probably make an error or two your own self)
