Palin aide: Romney squad “immature,” out of control

It didn’t take long for Sarah Palin’s team to respond in kind to insults reported by Time’s Mark Halperin from an unnamed aide to Mitt Romney. After the anonymous adviser sniffed that Palin is “not a serious person,” an anonymous “longtime” adviser to Palin told Politico’s Andy Barr that Romney and his team seem a lot more interested in self-promotion for 2012 than in getting Republicans elected in 2010. Furthermore, the source said, Romney’s “finger in the wind” leadership seems to have led his own team out of control:

I'm not sure who this "anonymous" adviser is (Meg Stapleton?) but while Governor Palin takes the high road and goes after our real enemy, the POS Marxist in the WH and the Democrats running in 2010, you have Romney flunkies using middle school tactics trying to bring her down.

I just have one question: For all the people who say that Sarah has no chance, needs to "study up," should have ran for the Senate, and won't be able to debate...shouldn't she be allowed to flame out in the primaries then? If she's that weak, then why not grab the popcorn and let her crash and burn, right?

Yes, the squad is disgusting. What they said yesterday about Sarah Palin disqualified him totally in my eyes. He pays them, after all.

Have the former McCain scum moved over to the Romney camp?

All this name calling sounds familiar.

No its the other way around...

>>What they said yesterday about Sarah Palin disqualified him totally in my eyes. He pays them, after all.<<

What is equally interesting is that the comment from romney’s camp was plain name calling. The comments from Sarah’s camp are specific and is the kind of stuff you would put in a campaign ad.

IOW, Sarah’s camp’s comments stimulate discussion regarding the accuracy, truthfulness or implications of the truth of what they said. Saying someone is “not a serous person” is just petty name calling. There is no way to respond.

Sarah Palin has proven herself to be strong leader material..

Staying in there, regardless..

Most people would have crumbled up and fled long ago...

The vicious verbal assaults on her and her family have been so nasty that I doubt if Romney could have taken what he is dishing out..

Hes a whiner...

Shes a winner...

The Romney squad is so immature that I can’t help but think that it reflects the guy at the top: Mitt.

Lay off Sarah, children.

Sounds as though Palin and her team are not afraid of playing a little hardball within the party, or at least not afraid of fighting fire with fire.

Good! I guess the 'Romney aide' forgot that Sarah has been fighting Republicans all along, beginning in AK, many years ago.

and now the Palin team needs to stop being goaded into playing defense with by “mean girl” staffers (some of them male) and DNC talking point partisans on both sides... including loathesome NAACP race pimps like Al Sharpton

Palin- don’t mudwrestle with pigs, the public will soon not know the difference between you

TAKE away the ball on issues NOW- force the other side to play defense. Give them more to do than snap at your ankles and attack your family

FE: Come out with some SOLID solutions to immigration

We absorbed millions of Vietnamese boat people in the 80’s by pairing people and families up with sponsors to teach them english and help them get jobs and off welfare

Why can’t we do the same with hispanic illegals? Let the libs and others step up and sponsor these folks for their green cards. Walk the walk,

identify those working who want to assimilate and learn english and stay off welfare- enroll them with their sponsors. Hold the sponsors responsible for their support after 5 years. Not the US Govt.

for those who don’t want to cooperate, ship them back to jobs in Central America funded by foreign aid, liberal NGO’s, big agriculture, Bill Gates, and sanctuary-loving church people.

Open a spanish disney world, build hi speed rail and highways to the Panama canal, start ten thousand organic farms in ten thousand villages, open retirement and nursing homes for expats, offer topline free-market medical research and service we won’t get here.

Challenge private enterprise to turn central america into one big hong kong and not just for the drug business

Palin- START YOUR OWN FOCUS GROUP FOR THIS ISSUE

Let the obamites twist and swing as the economy crashes, You can’t stop it unless conservatives get elected

I have my own suspicion about who that adviser might be: Steve Schmidt, former Deputy Assistant to the President Bush, who then helped run the McCain campaign, and is now with Team Romney. (He also ran Arnold Schwarzeneger's campaign in 2006).

Schmidt detests Christian conservatives and has been an active promoter of the Log Cabin (Gay) Republicans. I have it on good authority that he HATES Sarah Palin with a searing passion, and in fact offered this comment in a CNN interview with John King about the debut of Sarah Palin's book:

"...my honest view is that she would not be a winning candidate for the Republican Party in 2012, and in fact, were she the nominee, we could have a catastrophic election result."

I was talking about the anonymous Palin adviser who responded.

But yeah, it's plausible that garden slug Schmidt might be behind the initial attacks.

I think it was Tina Fey.

Taking the same line of attack used by the Democrats. What does that say about the Romney folks?

Gotcha. Actually, I think Meg Stapleton resigned from her role back in February. It might have been John Coale (Mr. Greta Van Susteren, BTW) - he’s helping to run Sarah PAC along with Becki Donatelli in D.C. It’s good to hear them respond quickly in any event, because if history is any guide (I used to live in Massachusetts) Romney is going to be vicious.

Now let us be fair, Mitt Romney is far more qualified to be the Democratic presidential nominee in 2012 than Sarah Palin ever will be...
