Video of UFO Over Chinese Airport... Answers?

This video of UFO over China sure doesn't look like 'space junk' to me...

Xiaoshan airport closed after a fiery UFO over China... Stunned witnesses reported seeing a comet-like fireball in the sky and a number of local residents took photos of the strange ball of light. A local bus driver, giving his name only as Yu, said he had seen a strange glowing object in the sky late on Wednesday afternoon. 'The thing suddenly ran westwards fast, like it was escaping from something,' he said. Inbound flights were diverted to nearby airports while outbound flights were delayed for three to four hours.

Some Chinese experts claimed that the strange sight was actually debris from a US intercontinental ballistic missile. Chinese officials later said that they knew what the object had been but were unable to make it public because there was a 'military connection.' An official statement is expected later... (and STILL NOTHING!)

TOPICS: Science; UFO's
KEYWORDS: china; chinese; ufo; video
Seems the still here is now being called fake, but the video is real... the locals said it hovered for a while before starting to take off like this.

AND the big issue is the military said the "knew" what it was and would explain shortly... THEN, nothing... and still nothing.

Embarrassing rocket failure, or...? The Soviets used to lie all the time about their screw-ups, of course...

Rockets don’t hover—especially in such a manner as a UFO does.

I don’t buy it.

The hoax explanation is worse than the UFO explanation.

The images are arguable.

The testimony with the images is less arguable.

Looks like a rocket.
We ssume that a true UFO will be nuclear powered, and not have an exhaust tail.

Rockets don’t hover, but when their distance is far greater than expected, they appear to be moving far slower than expected. A space-bound rocket mistaken for a nearby UFO certainly does seem to hover.

A rocket at 500,000 feet moving at 500 MPH will appear to be moving at only 5 MPH if it’s mistaken for being at only 5,000 feet.

Why is the testimony so hard so less arguable? But we know that there are multiple levels of deceit: camera tricks, lies about the origin, etc. All we know for certain is that the Chinese closed down a runway with a lame lie about U.S. space junk, and one taxi driver claims he saw a UFO.

I think it’s a UFO. You know, an unidentified flying object. Oh, wait. That is what it is.

Sorry, it’s just a jet under very unusual lighting conditions.

Someone published a close-up of the object, and you can clearly make out a long cylindrical object with a row of windows along the side. The bottom is reflecting sunlight (the video is either just after sunset or just before sunrise). The plane is far away, and traveling toward the photographer at an angle.

Because the sun is almost directly behind the plane, every bit of exhaust from the engine(s) is being back-lit, producing the beautiful trail.

I live in central Florida, and one of the recent Shuttle launches produced the same exhaust effect. It was still dark on the ground, but the Shuttle was already in sunlight, and the exhaust was back-lit, just like this photo. It was breath-taking, and much more elaborate than a “typical” Shuttle launch (when you can’t see the majority of the exhaust)

Yu saw a UFO

Yes.

And what is your name?

Yu.

No, my name is Bob. You saw the UFO.

Yes.

Wait, let me get this straight. You saw the UFO. When the UFO was spotted, You spotted it.

Yes.

...

First thing I thought of when I read this.

Certainly it is difficult to be certain about much of anything in that case—particularly from this distance.

However, I don’t find the hoax file convincing either.

The testimony is congruent with a lot of cases, however.

I don’t think the cloud cover etc. indicates a great distance.

I think that file claiming hoax was mostly contrived hogwash itself.

definitely a launch .. at the 031 sec mark you can see the staging event... The sun is illuminating the exhaust trail in the upper atmosphere ...notice the " Donut" effect of the third stage ignition (could be second stage ) pretty cool video though ...
