FACTS & CONTEXT: NAACP VS. BREITBART VIDEOS & TRANSCRIPT OF
USDA official Shirley Sherrod’s speech at the NAACP 20th Annual Freedom Fund Banquet on March 27, 2010.
First are the excerpt videos released by Andrew Breitbart. Transcripts and timeline have been added. Once the NAACP released the full video of their March event, Breitbart published the full video as well. The NAACP full video proved that Breitbart videos were continuous excerpts of Sherrod’s speech without being cut and edited as many in the press are reporting. FoxNews has also provided a timeline of their coverage. (video, report) At the bottom is the full video released by the NAACP. Full transcript has been added to the NAACP video.
Highlighted in yellow is Sherrod’s so-called redemption or revelation (that it is not about blacks vs. whites) which was included in the first video released by Breitbart.

One specifically says that she tried to register to vote in 1965, the year that her father was killed,....and Charles was definitely there.
I find no marriage date and have a feeling they eloped or have hidden the date for reasons that would be apparent.
She also said that "whitey" was making like he was superior....
The finer point, perhaps lost on you, is that she is a black woman who is now saying to black leaders that we all need to get over the racial identity crap. It is the NE liberati who maintain that southerners are racists. Shirley is a Southerner, the Lady is urging racists in the NAALCP to get over being racist and advance the nation. I thought her speech was a masterpiece, of sorts!
There are dates and quotes that are questionable. I know for certain when her Dad died as I found it on Ancestry. It’s the ONLY listing for him. Everything else is fluid.
There’s a piece in that article where they were making calls after her father’s death. She says that’s when she met him.
Right, Shirley, except for that nasty ad claiming that George W. Bush wanted to drag James Byrd behind that car all over again, simply because he rejected 'hate crimes' legislation.
The fact that George W. Bush supported the guilty verdict of the murderers didn't matter one bit. You see George W. Bush didn't think 'hate crimes' legislation was needed, because murder is murder, and will be prosecuted as such, no matter the race of the victim or murderer, but that didn't matter to the race pimps.
The NAACP was publicly against George W. Bush every day of his Presidency, so this claim that 'they didn't treat George W. Bush this way' is a out and out LIE!
She is a good speaker and certainly interesting. But no matter how you cut it, we’re talking reparations...and that’s a racist policy. Millions are done wrong in different ways. They get nothing because they’re not organized.
I also read a statement that said her Dad was killed by the KKK. Truth is subjective I guess.

I’m really surprised no one hasn’t posted any old news articles but it was probably an everyday thing down there and likely some control over the press (what’s new).
I'm white, I have a lacerated artery, gushing blood, so I go the ER where I am assigned a black doctor to take care of me. He decides I possess a superior attitude, doesn't help me fully, but then has a "come to Jesus" moment, tells me he understands now, it's a matter of white guys like Rush can pay out-of-pocket but I'm poor, so directs me to "one of my own," a white doctor who just in time, stitches my arm to keep me from bleeding to death.
How in the world can this be portrayed as the black doctor saving my life? How can it be anything BUT racism??
ps. Their stories don’t jibe, IMHO.

The rest of the show was dedicated to raising money for the St. Christopher truckers’ fund. Saturday’s events included motorcycle stunt riding and recognition of the 62nd wedding anniversary of Roger and Eloise Spooner of Iron City, GA. Spooner, who at 87 still drives a dump truck, was a survivor of the sinking of the USS Yorktown in the WWII Battle of Midway.
She thinks being black grants a cornucopia of goodies. I can’t say she’s wrong.
