Ping to an updated JournoList.
You are doing superb work with this, BT.
And to think, that’s just over a third of them!
Additions with this update:
44. Dan Froomkin - Huffington Post, Washington Post
51. Andrew Golis - Talking Points Memo
58. Jeet Heer - Canadian Journalist
75. Annie Lowrey - Washington Independent
77. Mike Madden - Salon
84. David Meyer - University of California at Irvine
99. Sara Robinson - Campaign For America’s Future
102. Michael Roston - Newsbroke
104. Felix Salmon - Reuters
114. Kate Sheppard - Mother Jones
126. James Surowiecki - The New Yorker
Just google Galbraith. What the hell was he doing with all these kooks.
Some of his writing indicates a clear understanding of economics but then he veers off into Krugman territory.
Maybe he is a substance abuser.
A famous father, a prestigious position at a University and he’s in the tank for the despot.
Toobin was on with Sanchez on CNN yesterday discussing the Arizona decision. He was barely coherent.
Between the two of them it seems they were sharing one brain.
Nice work.
The names I know there recall a certain sort of person, with a certain spirit about them:
Arrogant elitist liberal jerks.
Am I gonna be the first on FR to say there are an awful lot of names indicating a heavy ‘Chosen People’ presence??!!
Anytime you read an article critical of conservatism, you should consult this list to see if the author is on it. If so, his credibility is immediately suspect as his bias is an established fact.
Excellent job compiling this list!
Drag these “journalists” into the open and expose them for what they really are.
Keep up the good work!
When not suppressing unflattering information on Oblamer, they were busy selecting a tomato can for the GOP in McLame. And when McLame seemed to be pulling even after Sarah Palin’s addition to the ticket, George Soros ordered Chuck U. Schumer to leak a letter that would create a bank run on IndyMac - with or without realizing it would become the snowball that created a global avalanche.
Mike Allen was on CNBC, I think it was, the other day, pretending to be a journalist.
IMO, each and every liberal journalist’s credibility has taken a hit - ntil I know all 400. I think this quote from The Volokh Conspiracy says it well:
“So: To all you non-JournoLister reporters out there, please be aware that your credibility has just taken a big hit, because we, your faithful readers, dont actually know who is or who isnt. You can thank JournoList for that, you can thank Ezra Klein, and you can thank the Washington Post, which has done its outstanding professionals absolutely no favors in any of this.”

You'd find the same statistics with any of New York City's better nown, though by no means eclusive, occupation groups.
Frankly, it'd be no more surprising than discovering that 43% of doctors, lawyers, schoool teachers, and engineers in Indiana have German surnames!
They sure have CA covered. :(
Thanks for all your hard work in gathering this into one handy place!
Berkeley’s on the list too: Brad DeLong and Michael O’Hare. I just realized I misspelled Berkeley once - and Weigel’s name is misspelled.
Ugh!
Thanks, I didn’t catch it. I knew it had to be there somewhere. How could they not be involved with this mess?
A nice unintended consequences:
when the liars in the MSM roll their eyes when conservatives say they're working together against us - we can laugh in their faces...
or spit on them...
Good work. When you’re done with this you could make a list of these guys who get fired over this. (that should be a lot shorter list).
...or better yet...add them to the "list" for local Henry Bowman types....
"Time to feed the hogs".
bttt
Many thanks!
Possible short-cut for expanding the list quicker:
Maybe when we read a “news item” presented with a left-wing slant and we don’t find the so-called journalist’s name on the updated JournOlist, we could email them and ask point blank if they were on that now-defunct list. I suspect most wouldn’t lie about it for fear of being found out later.
Just a thought.

JOURNOLIST AGREES OBAMA LIED...
Dean Baker, at the time a blogger at the American Prospect, agreed the policy was dishonest, but defended it anyway. Sure, some of the things they are saying are not true (the jobs story first and foremost), he wrote, but the industry groups have this town blanketed with lobbyists and own a large portion of Congress outright. There has to be some counterforce to the industry groups and that is the populist rabble. It might not be pretty, but thats Washington.
Ive heard that theres some disappointment in the administration that they havent gotten the level of progressive love they feel they deserve for their ambitious proposals to curb abusive corporate tax loopholes, wrote influential liberal blogger Matt Yglesias the next day. Yglesias went on to attack opponents of the plan, noting how absurd some of the abuses the administration is trying to curb are.
People like Krugman - people who bring their hatreds to an honorable profession with no reason other a desire to bully those they don't like - enrages me. I'm sorry there aren't editors with the wit to understand the damage this type of out of control group think does to their business. Where are the great editors of the past?
The American press - at their hands - has become a profession trusted less than used car salesmen. And they've done it in less that 40 years.
Thanks JournoList - from all the people who wanted the MSM to die...
Thanks!
I'm just happy we don't have elite members of the MSM still able to look down their noses at us (conservatives) when we say members of the press are working together against us.
They are working together against us. And they lied about it.
really...
Do the people at the top care? Were they offended by Journolist? Or were they quietly backing them? We'll know soon... the "list" of those fired will tell the truth.
So, your "short list" might not have more than a name or two on it... another slap in the face to the half of Americans who are conservative... another nail for MSM credibility...

University of Texas at Austin: Galbraith, James
The list, ping
If and (more likely) when the SHTF in this country and things start to deteriorate at a more accelerated rate, I am certain this list will come in very handy for some folks.
lol
An excellent point.
Yep. Notice that when describing the members of JournoList, the media writes “400 journalists, bloggers, and members of academia.” Ezra Klein is a policy wonk, so he invited authors and professors to join the listserv.
Just stay away from it. The last thing we need is to be accused of being anti-semetic. Besides, there's this quote , which refers to Israel and the Jewisht people as well as Abrahyam, you should take into consideration:
I wll bless those that bless you, and curse those that curse you.---God
Of the time I spend online reading news/blogs/opinion, this list has pissed me off because I read Felix Salmon, DeLong (now defunct blog), Thoma and Galbraith all the time, all four are on my daily RSS feed for economics/finance.
Names I expect to see exposed include Barry Ritholtz, Greg Mankiw, and Troy K. Schneider.
Thanks Nachum.
I notice there seem to be a lot more males than females on the list. Could they be misogynist?
Well, they made their bed.
To be a public school teacher almost anywhere in this country you have to "pass" a standard psychological profile questionnaire.
It asks things about SEX!!!!!SEX!!!!!SEX!!!!
And it is very feminist in it's targeting of PROBLEM PEOPLE.
Like I said a bunch of these pukes were kept out of the public schools ~ otherwise they are part of the core of the class of people who become public school teachers in the Greater New York SMSA, and in private schools in New England!
They simply had no idea how to answer the sex questions!
As males they had to go for second best ~ that is JOURNALISM!
You can ask Bill O’Reilly about this. He got INTO the public education establishment ~ he knows all about these people.
Wow, that is an impressive list.
Pius XI, Pius XIIs predecessor, famously said to a group of Belgian refugees in 1938 that It is impossible for a Christian to take part in anti-Semitism. It is inadmissible. Through Christ and in Christ we are the spiritual progeny of Abraham. Spiritually, we are all Semites.
