2010 Victory Pledge: I support the Team AND the Coaches!
Flopping Aces ^ | 07-29-10 | Mike's America

It's time for right thinking patriots to support the RNC and Senate and House campaign committees!

Opening the Mike's America fundraiser that keeps yours truly on the job, I released my list of the top ten (well, really eleven) GOP Senate candidates worthy of your financial support in our bid to retake the U.S. Senate in 2010. You are encouraged to donate directly to their campaigns. Soon, I'll be publishing a list of key House races necessary for us to retake control of the House of Representatives and boot Nancy Pelosi out of the Speaker's Chair.

Some people feel more comfortable in contributing directly to campaigns, and independent efforts like mine, than to the Republican National Committee and it's sister campaign organizations the National Republican Congressional Campaign and the National Republican Senatorial Committee. Over the past few years those organizations have had some spectacular missteps that have alienated some donors.

But we must put all that behind us if we hope to win big in November. It's great to contribute directly to candidates. They are the key players on our team. But let's not forget the coaches. Without them, there is no overall coordination of the effort and we all know that a team made up of only quarterbacks all throwing the ball in different directions is not the way to win. It's time to put aside our past differences with the GOP committees. I can count on one hand the number of major flubs they have had over the past years and still have fingers left over. However, the ongoing contributions they have made the past 18 months or so have been instrumental in helping us move forward in presenting a solid front opposing Obama and the Dems overreach.

I would not give one cent of my money to an incumbent!

They are ALL crooks! Time to replace them all in the next two elections! “Term limits”

I support taking back the House and if possible the Senate. BUT THAT WILL NOT STOP KING OBAMA and his communist Administration from finishing the take over of America. Laws and bills come right from the pen of our communists Muslim piece of garbage right from where ever he is vacationing.

The COACHES!

ROFLMAO!

Like Michael Steele? John Cornyn? Those coaches?

You really ought to be in stand up comedy.

Those clowns couldn’t coach a strand of cooked spaghetti to go limp.

If I thought the GOP was a team that stood for smaller government, limited government, improving business conditions for all, lowering taxes and spending, increasing energy, and enforcing border laws, I'd be on board.

They had 6 years with all 3 Houses, and did virtually nothing for the American citizenry (temporary tax breaks never made permanent, etc). The people of Iraq (and, IMHO, by extension, Iran and Israel) got quite a bit of time, attention and treasure, thanks to W's efforts... but the GOP really squandered a massive opportunity.

Unless the candidate has a significant record of cutting spending, opposing increased spending programs by BOTH parties (IIRC, 19 hard-right Republicans opposed W's stimulus package), and talks the limited government line consistently and to all groups... that "R" by their name means squat.

A decent Top Ten List at his blog-site, though. Basically targeting the worst Dems who happen to be opposed by halfway decent conservatives.

But then again, when only 16 are up for election, making a list of 10 (11, actually) isn’t tough.
