It's "royal." It's of "historic proportions." It's Chelsea Clinton's wedding, and CBS apologizes for letting actual news get in the way of its breathless coverage.
Anchoring the coverage in Rhinebeck, Early Show weekend co-host Erica Hill, after referring to the event as "America's royal wedding," threw it back to a remorseful Chris Wragge in the studio, who promised to get back to Erica in "just a couple of minutes" after a couple of news items "we have to address." When she got the ball back, Hill described the wedding as being of "historic proportions.

Why is the wedding of a former president’s daughter so historic? It’s never happened before? Didn’t a president’s daughter just get married a couple of years ago? Don’t remember a tenth of this coverage for her wedding...actually not watching any of it, but the amount of coverage I’m seeing in the press on the internet is astounding. I must say, though, what a HOMELY bride! geesh!
I knew many rational, even seemingly normal females who went absolutely gaga over the Charles and Diane wedding. In a way this *is* as close as we get here in America, with the political power angle and the celebrity angle verging together.
As a musician, and one who has friends and associates in the floral and catering business, I’m happy for folks in the area this is happening who are making some good bucks. On one hand I think lavish weddings rather silly, OTOH I’ve taken home some very nice paychecks, bottles of wine and (nearly) bridesmaids (making it more than worth having to play ‘Just The Way You Are’, and/or Achy Breaky Heart!).
Expect nothing less from a libtard news outlet......nothing less. =.=

I used to make our band play the last bar in that stupid guitar solo as 5/4. It was funny as all get out to watch the line dancers bump into each other, then look around in total confusion about what to do next! I hated playing that solo! I’d play it backwards, parallel fourths, anything I could think of to make it more appalling!

this is the best distraction from what is going on in the country and world that the media has this week. Consequently they will milk it breathlessly until the find one for next week.

I am disgusted by the wedding. Who the hell do they think they are? good gawd, man, half the country is living hand to mouth, and taxed to death to support these sickening royals. A POX on their house and their wedding. The chicken entrails are reading extreme pain and suffering is about to descend on all the ruling elite.
