Someone needs to figure this out SOON!!!

“BUT MY MAIN OBJECTION TO ADOPTING THE NPVI IS THIS: IT WILL BLOCK STATES FROM ENACTING LAWS THAT WOULD REQUIRE ELECTORS TO CAST THEIR VOTES FOR PRESIDENT ONLY FOR THOSE CANDIDATES THEY HAVE ASCERTAINED ARE CONSTITUTIONALLY QUALIFIED FOR OFFICE, AND THE VIOLATION OF WHICH LAWS WILL BE MET WITH STEEP CRIMINAL SANCTIONS. As we here at “jbjd” have learned from experience, such laws respecting the conduct of Electors are necessary to prevent a repeat of events of the 2008 election in which Electors for the Democratic State Parties elected as President a man no documentary evidence available in the public record had established was even a citizen, let alone natural born.

Right now, no state has enacted a law requiring Electors to vote only for a President who is Constitutionally qualified for the job. “

I have to agree with you. I think most of the birthers are crazy, and likely wrong about the facts, but when whatever facts do come out, I think the fallout will be about the cover up.

Aren't passports good for 10 years

Maybe NOW they are, but from a bit I've read, it appears that during the 1940s-1960s, with Cold War tensions growing, the government might have kept a close eye on certain people who wanted to travel abroad, and consequently required the passport applications to be scrutinized closely, and renewed at closer intervals. The playwright Arthur Miller reportedly had problems with passport renewal, and I believe Richard Wright did also. So for that period, a passport that required review and renewal more often would seem to make sense.

If they were planning a move to Hawaii for several years, would they have gotten passports not knowing it would become a state in 1959?

I don’t think a passport is required for a territory any more than it would be for a state.

The Hague Convention on the Protection of Children and Co-operation in Respect of Inter-Country Adoption (Hague Adoption Convention) is an international agreement to safeguard intercountry adoptions.  Concluded on May 29, 1993 in The Hague, the Netherlands, the Convention establishes international standards of practices for intercountry adoptions.  The United States signed the Convention in 1994, and the Convention entered into force for the United States in April 2008.

Why did she need a passport at age 18? She would not need it to have a baby in Hawaii or to go to college in Seattle Washington.

I've had one since I was 15 and I've never been out of the country.

Just sayin.
