.......A three way statistical tie exists that could possibly gain the Nerd King his bucket list item number 9. Rick Snyder has been able to pull into a potential win situation along side Mike Cox and Pete Hoekstra, while Bouchard cannot get above 10-12% in any polling. This is a bad thing.
Its a bad thing, because Snyder is NOT who people think he might be.
- Rick Snyder has NOT signed the Grover Norquist Americans for Tax Reform "no new tax pledge." Three have signed it. Mike Cox, Pete Hoekstra, and Mike Bouchard.....Rick Snyder has no interest in signing such pledges. It takes certain actions off the table, and limits his options. Michigan is open to new taxes under Snyder. Likely as a result of expansions of MEDC-like programs that rewards political business associations at a cost to taxpayers. Its called "crony-capitalism," and has served the nerd well for years.
- The King Nerd actively pursues government (THE TAXPAYER'S) dollars to fund his business operations.

- Rick Snyder has personally lied to my friends. He has told them to their face, that he is "pro-life". He has told many folks the very same thing, yet the fact remains he has companies that profit from the destruction of human embryos. And you pay him for that service. As pointed out in the bullet point above, he milked the cow that is Michigan for the cream to fund his investment company Ardesta to the tune of $7.5 Million dollars. Ardesta funds research which uses embryos. He donated to the cure michigan's embryonic stem cell initiative in 2008. Some may support that initiative, but to claim one is "pro-life" and then call for the destruction of life is a bald faced lie.

This is one of the best pieces I've read so far on Rick Snyder, and no, I'm not Jason Gillman. I encourage all Michiganders to read this, get the word out, and not vote for Dick Michigan. There's also a lot of other good information on Dick Michigan at the Right Michigan website.
We must stop Snyder at all costs this Tuesday.
Voting against Rick Michigan isn’t a hard one to make. Who to vote for is the hard choice.
While I personally prefer Bouchard, I realize he cannot win and will vote for Cox.
I agree about Bouchard. He sounds great but I just don’t think he can close the deal.

Cox has been in bed with Jennie for some time now. Cox is not a conservative.
He isn't a lawyer.
Will be forwarding this to my fellow Michigan voters. Was not voting for him to begin with. I like what I see in Mike Cox.
It’s a tough call. My husband is voting for Hoekstra because he’s a solid Fair Tax backer, but I want to vote for Bouchard because he’s the *only* one who wants to make Michigan a RTW state.
Cox isn’t even on my radar.
Rick Snyder’s biggest asset is his ability to fund, start and run technology companies. Michigan needs leadership and a thorough understanding of the wealth creation process to offset the job losses from the high dependence on the auto industry. Michigan is suffering from a brain drain despite a nationally respected higher education establishment.
If Rick could influence the development of a solid technology corridor beginning with the conversion of the 175 acre Pfizer campus, Michigan has a chance to stanch the flow of graduates to other states. California used to have a lock on startup businesses until the libs made it hostile for businesses to grow - as a result, many Global 2000 companies have left the Golden State to business-friendly states.
Michigan has so many underutilized assets (like the new DTW airport) and cost of living advantages ($1 per sq. ft. office space) that it would be a shame not to try to turn the state’s economy around with business-friendly leadership. I don’t see the other candidates with a vision for job and wealth creation. In Michigan this 2010 election is about jobs, jobs and more jobs.
Snyder is a liberal who wants to blow taxpayer money on trains that will apparently be powered by windmills that work once in a while.
Anybody voting for snyder might as well vote for Bernero.
The current politics and funding issues aside, high-speed rail between Detroit and Chicago would be most welcome. 250 miles is too close for air travel to make sense with all the added time layered on due to the TSA security and air traffic holds. Driving doesn’t make sense due to time (include the hour difference between CST + EST) and inability to park economically once in downtown Chicago. And the current Amtrak service is slow, bone rattling and prone to delays.
Yet, if you could live in low cost of living Michigan and still do business in Chicago because of a 90-minute rail DTW-CHI option, then it would be a win-win all the way around.
And it only cost the taxpayers their money and freedom.

are any of the candidates really strong? God, we had Dick Devos for an attempt against Granholm.......we cannot get Levin or Stabmenow out easily......
not a lot of great choices. But, regardless of who is elected.......they will be an improvement over Granholm
As for jobs, Rick Snyder sent tech jobs to China. He's in bed with liberal democrats on economic issues like taxes and regulations. I don't see much difference between him and Granholm. Both are evasive candidates who don't like making decisions.

I love the way he plays himself off as a computer nerd when he’s really a corporate attorney.
As far as trains are concerned, to conservative supports spending billions of taxpayer dollars for a high speed rail that would wipe out dozens of small towns in michigan alone yet probably never be built.
