Sens. Kerry, Brown like to bike together
The Washington Examiner ^ | 08/02/2010 | Nikki Schwab

It's a bike-a-thon built for two.

On Saturday, Sens. John Kerry, D-Mass., and Scott Brown, R-Mass., will ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge, which raises money for cancer research.

Apparently biking is how the two senators bond, according to the Associated Press. Kerry told the AP that he and the junior senator from Massachusetts will "just go out and have a good morning exercise ride." Brown said he prefers biking over having dinner or beers with Kerry. (Though we know Brown does go to the bar, being spotted several times at the Dubliner).

Operation CO-OPT is well underway. In no time Brown will announce his party switch.

Liberals of a feather flocking together. Brown is a hypocrite who mislead his supporters.

At a get together with Brown between when he was elected and when he took office that I attended I said to him,in front of the small crowd, that when he got to DC he must always remember that the RATS are *not* his friends and that they never *will* be his friends...in spite of what they might claim.

It looks like he didn't listen and *has* been drinking the water there.

The difference is that Reagan wasn't selling out to O'Neill, Brown has been playing RINO since day one.

This is what happened with Orrin Hatch, and John McCain, and Lindsey Graham, etc. etc. etc. They hang out socially with the most liberal Democrats and, whaddaya know, after a while those Democrats aren’t such bad guys after all. And you know what, some of their ideas aren’t so far-fetched either. Pay no attention to those yahoos in the Tea Party, we have to be pragmatic, don’t you know?

However, it never works the other way around. A Democrat can spend years socially with Republicans and then turn right around and accuse them of being racist children-starvers.

"The difference is that Reagan wasn't selling out to O'Neill, Brown has been playing RINO since day one."

Clearly you aren't old enough to remember the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982 that Reagan signed. And, you must not be old enough to remember the Social Security Amendments of 1983 that Reagan signed. And, you must not be old enough to remember the Deficit Reduction Act of 1984 that Reagan signed - all of which RAISED TAXES - ENERGY TAXES, CORPORATE INCOME TAX AND PAYROLL TAXES.

Would you like to hear about the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 that Reagan signed.

Facts can often be in an uncomfortable juxtaposition to fantasy or legend, can't they?

Sure, facts can be uncomfortable. Like the fact that Scott Bwown is a pro-baby-killing socialist.

Reagan signed some bills in return for budgetary concessions from the ‘Rats, the ‘Rats failed to keep their end of the bargain.

Brown has been voting with the ‘Rats since day one. He ran as a pro-death, pro-homosexual agenda Romney clone.

What else matters when a politician thinks it’s okay to torture babies to death?

If they’ll do that, they’ll do anything at all.

Good grief. He represents one of the most liberal states in the Union. And, he replaced Ted Kennedy - who would have been replaced by a TED KENNEDY CLONE, if it weren't for Brown. What's more, is that Brown has voted EXACTLY as he campaigned. Even if Brown only votes with the GOP 70% of the time, that's a whole lot more than whatshername would have voted with the GOP.

You won't be happy until Barny Frank is representing the people from the great commonwealth of Massachusetts. If you're waiting for Massachusetts to elect a Jim DeMint conservative, you're one of the most politically obtuse people I've met.

Brown's opponent portrayed him as a pro-life conservative, the media portrayed him as a pro-life conservative and his apologists portrayed him as a pro-life conservative. In the end, despite being portrayed as a pro-life conservative, he won by five points. That tells me that a genuine pro-life conservative could have won.

Even if Brown only votes with the GOP 70% of the time, that's a whole lot more than whatshername would have voted with the GOP.

The operative word here is "IF" and I see no indication of Brown voting conservative even 10% of the time.

You won't be happy until Barny Frank is representing the people from the great commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Typical RINO retort, you accuse conservatives of preferring liberal 'Rats because we won't support a liberal with an "R" after his name.

You seem to overlook the fact that this thread is about Brown getting to be good friends with Kerry, perhaps he should spend more times learning from conservatives if he expects conservatives to support him.

>>> will ride in the Pan-Mass Challenge

It’s a charity ride. What is wrong with you people. You think either would spoil the event by bad-mouthing the other? Of course each will make bland general pleasantries.
