A place is made sacred by a widespread belief that it was visited by the miraculous or the transcendent (Lourdes, the Temple Mount), by the presence there once of great nobility and sacrifice (Gettysburg), or by the blood of martyrs and the indescribable suffering of the innocent (Auschwitz).

When we speak of Ground Zero as hallowed ground, what we mean is that it belongs to those who suffered and died there -- and that such ownership obliges us, the living, to preserve the dignity and memory of the place, never allowing it to be forgotten, trivialized or misappropriated.

I would add that protests etc and a loud outcry, march on the WH etc whatever noise can be maid to bring this to a boil so legal methods would be used to stop this would be a way to go.

Even the Brits were able to scupper the Islamists' attempt to build a Mega Mosque in London.

Watch the video at the link and you'll see that many of those opposed to the London mega mosque raised the same questions we should raise here -- such as who is paying for this thing?

Also, like the GZ mosque, the mega mosque in London was supported by the city's mayor at the time -- for many of the same garbage reasons as Boo Hoo Bloomie went on and on about.

Yet, again, the important point is that the Brits got this thing stopped and it didn't even have the component of being near something such as Ground Zero.

And shouldn't we be learning something from the fact that the Saudis seem to be willing to finance mega mosques in major western cities and have been pushing this for years and years?

Define “authority” when We the People” are not the ones in authority. We have become so passive that those in positions of political authority feel no fear in thwarting our will. Why would we expect them to “have the spine” when we do not?

Charles K trashes our Sarah on a regular basis, so this is big of Sarah to quote his article, she could have found another to quote I am sure.

Maybe Charles will thank her??? I doubt it!

I do not like Charles because of his constant attack on Sarah, his outrages articles prior to the election and past.
