Today I heard an interesting equivalency made on the Rush Limbaugh show. If liberals can proclaim Bill Clinton was the first black president then why can we claim Barack Obama is the first Muslim president?
Is Bill Clinton a black male? Not even close!
This point was being made to highlight a poll that just came out that seems to be the headlines for the main stream media today. Time magazine did a poll in which they found out 24% Americans think Barack Hussein Obama is Muslim. This is an increase. The reasoning behind this thought is according to the media… we’re just “simple”. Local radio show host and station director Nancy Kaman of WILK claims we are those simple people that watch FOXNEWS and listen to Rush Limbaugh waiting to hear our talking points. We’re headline readers and don’t care much for content, probably because it takes too much thought to process more than a paragraph. We’re not teachers and college professors,we are business owners that have the time to listen to these shows. Her counter part did bring up failed Air America but her reasoning for that massive fail was because liberals just don’t listen to that much radio.

When Nobel prize winning poet Tony Morrrison can call Bill Clinton black, then what is “black”? When the NAACP calls a black conservative, “not black enough”, and “not a brother” then what is “black”? When Time magazine’s Jack White calls Supreme Court Justice Thomas, “the scariest of all the hobgoblins”, saying “Washington seems to be filled with white men who make black people uneasy”, than what is “black”? And when Obama, a man whose mother is Caucasian, can tell us in a widely read autobiography that in his youth he struggled with his racial identity before *deciding* to be black, what is “black”?
“Black” in all these contexts, as well as Juan Williams’s complaint about the extraordinarily lopsided expression of Missouri voter sentiment, is clearly not about “race”. It is about ideology, a clearly socialist ideology.
