Make sure you get your money in small bills.

Apparently the mods can tell when and who added "keywords".

Indeed they can. I was suspended for a day once for adding an inappropriate keyword.

I have yet to encounter an ATM machine that dispenses anything larger than a $20.

The one I use can dispense fifties.

North Korea has been doing this FOREVER.

Yes, but WND can run the story again as if it's news and generate new revenue. News counterfeiting isn't illegal.

Question. Does the “Super Bill” pass the sharpie marker test that cashiers often check with? If so, just how in the heck can these things be detected?

As the news reports point out, the pens don't show them as fake bills because they aren't...they are small bills bleached and reprinted. However, if you hold them up to light, the watermarks and strips will still show the lower denomination.

Magnetic detection (based on iron oxide in the ink) and other techniques can be used, too, for more high-volume work. On new $100, there are the 3D and color-changing features (e.g., the ribbon and the bell found in the inkwell on the obverse [front]).

In 6 months, the new $100 will be out, so they need to dump these faster.

WND was not my original source... but since I did not list my source the mods added the WND story to this thread not me.... this post was really a follow-up to my thread yesterday on credit card fraud...

...If I sell something “large” to a private party I go with bank to bank wire or cashiers check from MY bank not theirs. They can buy a cashiers check at my bank with their cash. The bank accepts responsibility for the cash and deposits the cashiers check into my account.

Thanks for the tip. I had not thought of that.

I do know that even cashiers checks can be forged and your bank will deposit it but then when it is rejected your bank will deduct the money from your account. But if it's from your bank I assume you can certainly check it out pretty fast.

What’s the difference if Korea prints our money or the US gov. prints it???
Theoretically, it might help our economy...

Are you serious?

Yes and exactly the reason I am specific about the cashiers check being issued by MY bank or another local bank. Cashiers checks deposited into the same bank it was issued is “cleared” internally. No need to send it through the system because its like taking money out of one pocket and putting it in another. The funds never leave your possession

What percentage of retail transactions over $100 are for cash?

Lots. People who get money orders, send/receive moneygrams, buy gift cards, money cards, phone cards. People who buy less than $100 but tender a $100 bill.
