Yes, Daisy, It Is Hate
http://www.freerepublic.com ^ | 8-24-10 | philman_36

Posted on 08/24/2010 8:29:56 AM PDT by philman_36

There is much ado recently about the proposed mosque to be built at Ground Zero and the wife of Imam Rauf has subsequently gone on CNN to state that "It's not even Islamophobia, it's beyond Islamophobia -- it's hate of Muslims," she said. "And we are deeply concerned."
Well, Daisy, I hate to tell you this, but you've hit the nail on the head with me anyway, just not in the manner you think. I also am deeply concerned and have been so for a number of years. I can't speak for anyone one else but I'll tell you a few things I hate...

I hate seeing someone try to force a specific form of religious worship upon me and others under the threat of death.
I hate seeing someone try to force upon me a brutish and archaic form of law which doesn't hold me as an equal before the law.
I hate seeing someone dance with glee when devastating attacks occur on their presumed enemy.
I hate seeing someone who wishes to completely destroy other nations by driving them into the sea.
I hate seeing someone perform an honor killing for some perceived slight, believing it to be a form of justice and an honorable act.
I hate seeing someone who, in this day and age, would stone others to death, often without a trial.
I hate seeing someone indoctrinate young boys, warping them in the process from forever interacting with other societies, into believing that certain groups of people are "evil" and should be murdered outright.
I hate seeing someone perform clitorectomies (female genital mutilation) on young girls for no reason beyond religious dictates.
I hate seeing someone, under the dictates of their religious tomes, lie to anyone not of their religion.

And most of all I hate when somebody can't discern the difference between hating a person or group of people and hating the actions of people while being told sanctimoniously to get my own house in order.

So yes, Daisy, there is hate. And if Muslims, as a people, happen to fall into the category of the things I hate then they have only themselves to blame. Their actions dictate my response.
I'm sorry about that. It's just that I appear to have principals different from theirs.

Start you argument with a lie Ms Daisy and you lose the debate.

IF, as the supporters of this center claim, it is to foster toleration and understanding of Islam, they would move it since the vast majority of New Yorkers oppose it’s construction at Ground Zero.

There is a Mosque 5 blocks away, there is no need for another one here.

That they refuse to move it indicates they are not at all interested in “bringing us together” but are looking at the symbolic value of the site.

I hope you'll pardon my criticism, but you're not getting it either.
It was the actions of the Nazis that was hated.
If they hadn't done the things they did they wouldn't have been so reviled either then or now.

Rauf is a modern-day incarnation of Fritz Kuhn, who headed the German-American Bund in the 1930s, that pretended to be patriotic Americans, but really was a front for Hitler.

I hate the fact that we’re being forced to be tolerant while we endure intolerance. Actually, that’s not quite accurate. We’re being forced to ACCEPT AND EMBRACE Islam and all its odious, ignorant practices while being taunted with the threat of death as “infidels.” After 9/11 the Muslim women in my neighborhood freely walked the streets after dark with no fear, and they should have had none. Christians and Jews weren’t going to harm them. But those very same Muslim women couldn’t wait to get a TV camera and mic in front of them so they could whine, bitch, and complain about their treatment in America.

You should ask to have your comment removed. Advocate no violence is a prerequisite of this site.

Free Republic does not advocate or condone racism, violence, rebellion, secession, or an overthrow of the government.

Now, if Mrs. Daisy should physically attack you personally then I've no quarrel with self preservation or self defense.

Hate is one of our natural emotions and a proper one when directed toward a massive and zealous horde determined to destroy us and our way of life. Hate, then,is a normal and natural part of our survival instinct.

It would be almost impossible to overreact to this threat.

So, now what do we do about it?
For the time being I'm going to "heap shame", share my thoughts and understanding on the issue and expose the duplicity in the argument being used.

I can't and wouldn't, tell others what to do. Each of us does as we each see fit.

If you want to join a peaceful protest march then do so.
If you want to boycott Muslim owned businesses, making sure they understand why you're doing so, then do that.
If you want to drop a burning bag of dog feces on a particular doorstep then do so.
If you want to take a slingshot and go shoot out the windows of the local mosque or Muslim owned business then do that.
There are a multitude of things one could do of their own choosing. (notice how they get progressively worse)

I would, however, advise that one consider the consequences of their actions if any actions are against the law.
This article is, after all, about actions people take.

True, and the Supreme Allied Commander came from German immigrants as well.

Hatred of immoral acts isn't wrong, IMO. Neither does hatred of such acts go against my Christian beliefs.

I don't fear any of the things I've listed. I find them loathsome and beneath dignity. There is a difference.

It isn't hate in their eyes. In their eyes it's their religious duty so their actions aren't motivated by that particular emotion. To them it's fervor.

I have never contemplated killing someone by sawing off their head and then saying my god condoned it.
Nor have I. But their god isn't what we conceive God to be.

Even their god is one of hate.
Their "god", IMO, is nothing more than a book and a man who made known his idea of how the world should work in that book.
Surrender to me or my followers, submit to our law or die.
Claiming that such rantings are "from God" only fools the ignorant, the gullible and those of an enslavement mentality.
Sounds like a tyrannical dictator to me.

Their god is one they invented that encourages murder and lying. Our God is a living God that encourages moral lives. They invented one that mirrors the worst in mankind. They are polar opposites, one good, one evil. We know who wins this one.

There are people who join the Nazi Party, today...It's the same Party as Hitler's Nazis...
But are they doing what the Nazis of that day did?
There are people in America who join the Socialist Party (well, that's rather redundant [National Socialist German Workers' Party]) and the Communist Party. They too know what they are joining. Until they do something all I can do is disagree with their philosophy. When their thoughts become deeds then it becomes a different story.

The muzlims know that their Koran tells them to murder all Jews and all who will not become muzlim...
Unfortunately that's not correct. Many people in the Muslim world can't read and they have no idea what the book actually says other than what they're told. It's those who can read, who do understand what the book says and join anyway that get me.
Of course, if you're told what to believe, or how to interpret a "holy book", then you're in a pickle. The two should be held up to scrutiny. When you can't, or won't, do that you're either gullible, have a predisposition which said religion reinforces or are a religious tyrant bent on forcing your beliefs and values upon others.
JMO.

Their god is one they invented that encourages murder and lying.
Their god is one that was invented to absolve believers of their murder, pillage, rape and subjugation of others under the guise of religious piety.
When you feel guilt over your actions what easier way out is there than "God told me to do it."? Pure mental suasion and as old as time.

I suppose I could instead have pointed to anti-Islam (or anti-Catholic, or anti-Mormon, or anti-illegal immigrant) posts right here at FR that fit your description of what you hate.... would that have been more to the point?
