Check out this cartoon submitted by an anonymous cartoonist to iOwnTheWorld. If you haven't heard Disney is dealing with a controversy with an employee who is Muslim woman over wearing her head scarf (hijab).

Disneyland says she has to follow their dress code and lose the hijab, and she says no.

I can appreciate the first amendment religious freedom rational here, but if the first amendment were really the issue here then dress codes everywhere should be abolished for oppressing speech.

Bottom line, Disney is a private company and there are A LOT of other places this woman can work that won't force her to dress in a way that doesn't work for her....seriously.

I had an issue with what to wear to work once, I was so uncomfortable with an employers dress code that my career as a bikini model was over before it could even begin.

I'm filing this under "wish I thought of this!"

Disney owns ABC News and they spew the pro Imam Obama party line with ALL of TV. They spew the pro Islamic pro-Victory Mosque propaganda.

Poor Walt Disney - he was a good man.

I would ask: "What did she wear to her job interview?

If she wore her Ha-jib and they hired her, Disney loses. If she did not wear her Ha-jib then she is not too serious about it is she?

Yes, she may have converted, in that case, I would side with Disney. You can't change the rules and not expect a response.

Disney has always had very strict dress codes and she knew it when she was hired. It is one of the first thing all their employees have to agree to.

Disney employees dress codes even go so far as to what color your hair can be and what color and length your nails are .
It even includes what type of accessories you can wear.
She knew the dress code when she took the job so this in none other than another muslim wanting the rules changed just for them.

As with other disabilities, they apparently offered ‘reasonable accommodation’ and offer her a job behind the scenes. She would have no part of it.

I knew some people who worked at Disneyland back in the 70's. People were pretty much classified as to their appearance back then:

Blond, blued eyed, you got the Matterhorn/Tomorrowland, Dark/ethnic looking, you got Jungleland.

Times have understandably changed and been modernized, but if she agreed to the rules, you play by the rules.
