LQ, I think you are correct. I also think Beck's ADD is just the visible aspect of his overwhelming creativity. He is someone who does his media work, writes books, often several at once, does some visual art and still finds time for family, friends and his church. I sometimes think he doesn't sleep.

TD: I also saw the clip with Sharpton and Al was looking scared, to me. Beck boxed him completely with questions that had to be answered without rhetoric and Sharpton seemed aware he had been set up.

Beck is a complex guy. He is a better teacher than many I have experienced in university. He understands organizing in ways beyond the professional rabble-rousers and this is evidenced by the success of 9-12, the Rally and the fact that any book Glenn mentions rockets to the top on Amazon.

I spoke with someone yesterday who is just an average farm wife and Beck inspired her to begin reading American History, especially about George Washington. Beck is a phenomenon.

“where Dr. King appealed for a strong government”

So, Dr. King advocated the enslavement of individuals by the Gov?

If the definition of a racist is one whose actions harm the members of the group they supposedly directing efforts to, then Sharpton and Jackson and all the congressional black Dems are the biggest racists in the country. Because their efforts have done more to harm black Americans than anything since slavery.

True. But it seems like that is all anyone has to do in order to be politically successful these days.

And he’s FUNNY, too - that’s part of his creativity and what makes him a great teacher.

I will never forget one TV show where he was explaining how the fedgov was buying it’s own debt and basically just moving money around from one pocket to another

While he was talking he had a wad of money he was pulling out of and pushing into various pants pockets of his.
Then he looked at the camera and shouted “You do know what we are doing, don’t you? We’re MONETIZING OUR PANTS!”.

I almost died laughing right there but he completely made his point. And that phrase has become a common reference in my house, both when we talk about the debt and when we do laundry! LOL.

I loved that bit!

I also was laughing really hard when he began going off on Moses speaking with God:”A stick? That’s it? A stick?”

Glenn is just so talented in so many venues it must drive the envious left up the wall. It isn’t fair, you know! The have The Daily Show and Bill Maher. Glenn is funnier than either one and smarter, as well.
