Glenn Beck says that this country must experience a return to honor. Bravo! But then he goes on to say that the only way that that can be done is through a return to God. What he says may be true for himself, but is it also true for everyone else? If so, how do we return? By what path? As set forth by which religion? Perhaps there's a clue to be found in the old saying that "even a broken clock is right twice a day." Maybe if the object of one's quest is.......

Got off to a good start then, immediately jumped the tracks.

If the twit can’t figure out how we return to God, he’s never going to be part of the solution - only the problem!!

Yes, we are indeed Society’s keeper, just as, within the bounds of its rules, it is ours, and how well we meet the obligations we have accepted towards Society is the measure of our honor.

Jesus spoke of this "obligation to the social contract" directly:

"On one occasion an expert in the law stood up to test Jesus. "Teacher," he asked, "what must I do to inherit eternal life?"
"What is written in the Law?" he replied. "How do you read it?"
He answered: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; and, 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"
"You have answered correctly," Jesus replied. "Do this and you will live."
But he wanted to justify himself, so he asked Jesus, "And who is my neighbor?"
...[Good Samaritan Story Here]...
"Which of these three do you think was a neighbor to the man who fell into the hands of robbers?"
The expert in the law replied, "The one who had mercy on him."
Jesus told him, "Go and do likewise."

- Luke 10:25-37

Maybe he doesn’t know which God to turn to. Since one God’s honor is acrificing oneself, and another god’s honor is suicide bombers, it shouldn’t be too hard a choice.

Good point. I hadn't thought about it that way!

I wonder how many posts we’re going to see on this subject. Seems any way to divide the conservative side is worth bringing up over and over untill the people form about 20 seperate political groups.

Surely we can’t stand side by side with someone who has different theological beliefs. /s
