Feel good story of the day:
The Rev. Jesse Jackson came to Detroit last weekend pushing green jobs for the U.S. economy. On Monday, the Cadillac Escalade carrying him around the city was stolen and stripped. Does building replacement $1000 rims count as green jobs?Jackson came to Detroit as part of UAW President Bob Kings Jobs, Justice and Peace march on Sunday, which drew about 5,000 people to a combination protest and Democratic Party spirit parade. A few days before the rally, Jackson wrote a piece for CNN.com laying out its goals:
A key component of stable job growth is our nations energy policy. If our country gets serious about energy savings and independence from oil, we could rebuild domestically and power the U.S. economy with American jobs Ending the subsidies that make dirty fuels artificially cheap can spark a shift in infrastructure development, create more jobs and allow America to become more self-sufficient.A day after the rally, the 2009 Cadillac Escalade SUV that Jackson used to get around Detroit went missing from a parking lot near his hotel. According to WXYZ-TV, the SUV was later found abandoned, with the window busted and its wheels gone, similar to the jacking of a SUV used by Detroit Mayor Dave Bings security.
When the noted scientist Jesse Jackson starts talking about energy policy, it lets the cat out of the bag entirely. When Jackson says "energy policy" he means "redistribution of wealth."
As with all hypocritical liberal jackasses, when Jackson talks about independence from oil, he means that he would emancipate you from oil, but obviously not himself.
The article wrote for CNN is the usual pablum that liberals spout:

His Escalade is a 2009. He’s setting it up to get a free 2011.
Guess they were recycling his wheels. Ain’t that the kind of “green” they really want?
Word to your mother yo!
LMAO ....
Jackwagons jalopy is jacked by evil joooos per Jesse’s version !
Another “leader” who has never had a job.

Remember to recycle my homies!
Not having wheels to "get around" must be putting his planned shakedowns of Detroit businesses behind schedule.
Police are on the lookout for a pimped-out purple Escalade. Unfortunately, detroit is full of them.
Something has to done about those chronically unemployed white folk.
The irony of Jesse Jackson's stripped SUV
Add Jesse Jacksons ride to prominent vehicles being stripped in Detroit.Following the embarrassing news that Mayor Dave Bings GMC Yukon was hijacked by criminals this week, Detroits Channel 7 reports that the Reverends Caddy Escalade SUV was stolen and stripped of its wheels while he was in town last weekend with the UAWs militant President Bob King leading the Jobs, Justice, and Peace march promoting government-funded green jobs.
Read that again: Jacksons Caddy SUV was stripped while he was in town promoting green jobs.
Add Jesse to the Al Gore-Tom Friedman-Barack Obama School of Environmental Hypocrisy. While preaching to Americans that they need to cram their families into hybrid Priuses to go shopping for compact fluorescent light bulbs to save the planet, they themselves continue to live large.
We need an economy that creates employment that can't be shipped overseas, the Green Rev wrote for CNN about the march. Home-grown American labor will be installing windmills and solar panels. A green economy is not an abstract concept.
Well, its certainly abstract to Jesse, but I digress.
Even now, the only sector of the economy that has seen job growth during the recession is the green job sector. Time is of the essence.
Actually, time long ago passed Detroit by because Jesse favored government mpg mandates and UAW wages stripped the Big Threes ability to compete against non-union transplants. These jobs were real unlike the artificial, government subsidized green jobs he shakes down the feds for today.
Real jobs produced big, profitable SUVs like the one Jesse prefers to ride in. His SUV has been stripped by thugs a fitting metaphor for what Jesse and his pals have done to the auto industry for the last 35 years.
