Remembering how my Mom fed us I’ll tell you it was so darn sensible — tho’ maybe escaped me at the time. I just know I ate all on my plate (except maybe lima beans) and desserts were fruit. Rarely a cake — once in awhile a pie — which made it a treat. A really varied menu that I continued with my family ‘cause that is what I’d learned and knew. Wish I could tell her that now.

When I see these shows of 800 lb people being removed from their apartments ‘cause they can’t move themselves I always think — Just who is feeding these people and where do they get the money to do so?
