The Canine-American community is deeply offended by Barack Obama’s off-prompter remarks in Milwaukee which suggested that being compared to a dog is meant as an insult. Canine advocacy groups were quick to point out that dogs are, in fact, loyal and trustworthy—traits that cannot be associated with human politicians.
Word of this most recent affront spread quickly via p-mail. Reactions ranged from disbelief to indignance. Many in the Canine-American community and their supporters were quick to point out that this was not the first time the president has slandered them. Obama audaciously referred to himself as a “mutt” not long after his election. Most recently, he described mixed breed humans as “a mongrel people”, to the chagrin of mixed breed dogs who now wish to be known as “hybrids”.
Americans love their canine companions, in sharp contrast the Muslim world. Islam dictates that dogs are “unclean” and should not be kept as pets. Many dogs find this somewhat ironic in view of the personal hygiene practices observed in some Muslim countries.
This isn’t the first time Obama has expressed a bizarre thought process, nor will it be the last. And it should be pointed out that all three of my German Shepherds, including the foreign born one, can produce valid birth certificates.

INTRODUCTION
Muhammad made strange and harsh statements about dogs and these edicts affect dogs in a tragic way. His teachings may have come from cultural bias, Pagan concepts, or his own imagination, but wherever they came from they led to the cruel treatment of dogs.
None of the statements regarding dogs are found in the Quran but they abound in the various collections of traditions (hadith). These traditions are a primary foundation of Islamic theology and are the basis of many Islamic laws. They render dogs as “impure” and worse. Per Muhammad’s orders most dogs were to be killed and all dogs of a specific color (black) had to be killed.
COMMENT
These Muslim sites are only stating what the Sharia teaches: You can’t own dogs. The site above says that not only is it not permissible for Muslims to own dogs, but that the dogs must be destroyed. And note that it ends with a denunciation of non-Muslims (kufr) and states that owning dogs comes from the inspiration of Satan and dog owners are slaves to Satan.

Anti-dog muslims are afraid their people would discover in dogs an example of what pure love is. They don’t want their people distracted from pure hate.
I could trust my Dobermans with the life of my children especially in the face of danger. My dogs are better cared for than most people. The difference being Dobermans always earn their keep. Not like some Democrat voters....
Forgot to mention all my dobes were housebroken, unlike most of the Muslim world....
