From CNS News: In a video interview this week, White House Office of Science and Technology Director John P. Holdren told CNSNews.com that he would use the free market economy to implement the massive campaign he advocated along with Population Bomb author Paul Ehrlich to de-develop the United States.
In his role as President Barack Obamas top science and technology adviser, Holdren deals with issues ranging from global warming to health care.
A massive campaign must be launched to restore a high-quality environment in North America and to de-develop the United States, Holdren wrote along with Paul and Anne H. Ehrlich in the recommendations concluding their 1973 book Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions.
De-develop? Hah! Then they should have let GM and Chrysler die - Detroit is well on its way to being de-developed.
Is anyone surprised?
Dang Bush is STILL using science for political purposes.
Dems sure do love creating unemployment to expand the ever increasing underclass of people who are totally dependent on the government.
Sounds like we're going to be veloped.
Holdren’s an insane communist eco-wacko radical. What’s new? He shouldn’t be within 1000 miles of a lever of power.
The list, ping
Let me know if you would like to be on or off the ping list
The good news here is that nobody in the White House knows anything about free markets.
If there was a centrally planned effort to increase productivity and competitiveness it definitely would not be a free market endeavor.
Oh wait a minute. They've tried that before and it only ended up being a way to funnel money from taxpayers to lobbyists.
Use the FREE MARKET to push for a GOVERNMENT rationing plan?
Apparently, this dingbat who has never worked in the private sector doesn’t get, the PRIVATE sector.
“...nobody in the White House knows anything about free markets.”
Whew! Big sigh of relief there ...
where did you get that chart?
Several decades ago, he'd never risen above the level of San Francisco City Parks Commissioner.
What I don't get, is why people don't react to this, even when America's enemies lay their agenda right out on the table.
“What is their utopia”
Legions of unemployed masses subservient to a benevolent government. Sounds like the Depression back in the 1930’s when the government alphabet agencies ran everything!
The best part of being in a position of answering to NO ONE BUT OBAMA, is you are better than those pesky citizens that want answers to questions....what an poltroon....maroon....loon.....hopeyourgonesoon.
“What I don’t get, is why people don’t react to this”
The populace is totally dumbed down by a failed education system and is misled by a politically biased media. Just give them bread and circuses and they’ll stay quiet.
I would bet that this dude and his buddies would not survive a day in a de-developed area.
White House Science Czar Says Hed Use Free Market to Zippity doo dah the United States
Zippity doo dah, Zippity aye,

Plenty of monkeyshines coming my way,

Human populations were to be closed up in “island” cities among a country returned to pre-columbian conditions.
I think it was called The Wilds Project.
I think the Democrat Party is well on its way to being dedeveloped.
De-develop also includes depopulation (See Paul Ehrlich)... guess who these folks would choose to depopulate first...
And they called Palin's considers about Death Panels and Trig..."Crazy"
You’ll love this......
“Sustainable Medicine”. Part and parcel of Agenda 21. Obamacare anyone?
How these visionaries imagine the city in 2049:
This is from the book Manahatta by Eric W. Sanderson. In this vision of the future several areas will be reserved for high rises in the city including downtown Manhattan, Brooklyn Heights and Long Island City.
Sanderson foresees most of Long Island, Staten Island, Brooklyn and all of Jersey City will become farmland again.
He never explains where all the people have gone.
Thank you for that post! Looks like i found my next book...
It's still very active -- just out of the headlines. Don't want to get the "Folks" stirred up too much...
Ted Turner is one of the leading lights. He's the largest private land owner in the U.S. and is raising buffalo, prairie dogs, ferrets, wolves, etc. to run farmers and ranchers off their private land.
John P. Holdren, Paul R. and Anne H. Ehrlich, Al Gore, David Foreman of Earth First, and several other prominent eco-nuts, should be left on a desert island, provided with just enough water and food to live on, and told that if they want more, one of their number gets less.
And if they inflict the rationing on themselves that they would inflict on the rest of us, they will survive. But if they are greedy, then some of their number will starve to death.
Then televise, as these petty, greedy souls murder each other, just so that they can have extra water and food. Because in their twisted souls, enough is never enough.
Had to post this since you mentioned Ted....
It’s referred to at Lucianne and GatewayPundit, but I can’t figure out where it came from. I sure would like to know if it’s accurate. If so, great graphic. Even democrats could understand that one.
Oh - here’s where it comes from: http://www.libertysflame.com/cgi-bin/readart.cgi?ArtNum=12947
Why make it farmland? High-rise farms have greater potential economies of scale? Or community gardens on all blighted and delapidated buildings cleared away, which has a communitarian feel while making use of currently unemployed?
