Krauthammer: DeMint and Palin Need to Get O’Donnell Elected Since They Got Her Nominated – Video

Here is video of Charles Krauthammer on with Bill O’Reilly tonight, where he said he believes there is a “1 in 10″ chance Christine O’Donnell will win the November Election to the U.S. Senate in Delaware.

Krauthammer said it is “a huge mistake” to jeopardize the Delaware Senate seat by nominating Christine O’Donnell over Mike Castle. Krauthammer’s contention is that it’s all about control of the Senate – whether you would rather have the GOP setting the agenda, or Harry Reid / Chuck Schumer as Majority Leader.

Krauthammer challenged Jim DeMint and Sarah Palin – whom he said got her nominated – to go to Delaware and help her get elected in November.

“Now show me,” Krauthammer said, about DeMint and Palin. He also said he hopes he is wrong, because the GOP needs Delaware to take control.

I have to wonder if there aren't some Pubbies who fear a Republican majority with O'Donnell rather than Castle. More likely to produce DeMint as Majority leader which promises a dramatic change in committee assignments. RINOs putting personal gain and party politics above country.

Sorry, but I'm not a moniker.

The fact is that Charles Krauthammer is correct, and if I didn't agree with him, I would say so.

How does it make Charles a RINO to believe this was a tactical mistake?

That’s not what I’m saying. I’m just wondering if that is the motivation behind all of this. And if so, is it necessary? Has Mitt Romney not cost us all enough that he has to destroy this too? How much before it’s finally enough?

"Meaning?"

The right-wingers have had the scare of their lives with the nomination of O'Donnell. They were not prepared to wake up with whom they so gleefully climbed into bed.

Krauthammer has called them out and invited them to 'put up or shut up.'

Seven weeks will tell.

I plan on supporting any GOP nominee unless they are totally undeserving.

Again, I just agree with Charles Krauthammer on this one and if I didn't, I would say so.

CK is obviously establishment. This is a real attack on the DE republican primary voters. I am pissed for them. I remember how ticked I was when they immediately endorsed Crist last spring. I was on the phone right away expressing my anger. If the establishment can’t get there chosen ones nominated, they should at least act like GROWNUPS.

Krathammer has it in for Palin because he wrote a dozen 1,000 columns on health care and no one paid attention. Palin said two words - death panels - and the entire nation took notice.

Care to flesh out this metric, "deserving" first, then "undeserving?"

I'll go first. Mike Castle. Undeserving. Is Castle what has you in such high moral dudgeon over ... what? What does "team" mean, when one is indistinguishable from the other?

Republicans rode in on the backs of conservatives. I vote conservative. Pity that "Republican" and "conservative" aren't synonymous. But, they aren't.

Attempt to paint O'Donnell as a nutbag all you want, she's more conservative than Cap'n Trade Castle. The more "deserving" candidate won.

Too much puerile ad hominem. Krauthammer is a reliable, intelligent voice, not deserving of the vitriol here.

His stance is a logical one; that cannot be wished away. His assessment of the Biden boy not running seems accurate.

But I am with the Tea Party, the grass roots. There is a momentum for the good of this country, and as it builds, what we thought impractical becomes achievable. A synergy, God-willing, will conflate forces that will make the heretofore unreachable, now attainable.

Let's work for this, and at the same time, win over our long-standing allies, such as Mr. CK.

Not at all. Certainly not all here at FR. Some are just unhinged haters or 1%'ers. You don't seem to have a good grip on what's going on here, nor politically in whats happening in the country.

According to Charles "This is not an ordinary year." He then goes on to explain how O'Donnell is not electable but Castle was! That's completely illogical since Castle couldn't with the nomination. He may have looked unbeatable a year ago but "this is not an ordinary year." He was not energizing voters. He was not unbeatable.

Krauthammer got it wrong! Castle was part of the problem, not part of the solution. Go along to get along in DC is what got us huge deficits, out of control spending, and government growth regardless of which party was in control.

If Republicans win and then proceed to bargain with the left we gain nothing while the DC establishment continues to grow government. We will still be headed in the same general direction just not as fast. We need to slam on the brakes and Castle seems more comfortable with the big spenders.
