Cracking the Liberal Logo Code...

People ask why would the Democrats want to change their logo when it has been agreed for some time now that it worked way better than what the GOP had going for it. Well I think I figured it out.

Working in marketing as a graphic artist I understand that messaging is extremely important. The vehicle for brand recognition and clarity comes first through an organization's logo...so something really did need to be done, because the Dems were not getting their message across and...

does in fact get the job done much better than....

Mystery solved!

We’ve been talking about Bill Maher trying to buy more publicity for his show by recycling all his old clips of Christine O’Donnell’s appearances in the nineties...

Last night, even he was making fun of the new logo.

The outer circle represents a drain. The D in the center is the Dems going down said drain.

I thought that new logo was a joke.

They really are Europe wannabees, aren’t they?

I can’t believe they actually went for that.

“…brand recognition…”

Good point, however, this is actually more about rebranding a loser image, similar to the blue vs. red, or the “L” of liberalism changing to Progressive and now moving it to “New and Improved” just by changing the color format, it’s still the party/affiliation of Scheme, Lie and Corruption!

I like the new logo. Put a dot in the middle and use it as a target.

Have you heard anyone actually defend it as good?

Look at the responses, they’re obviously not all Dems, but this is going to go down as one of the biggest strategic blunders ever in American politics.

Is this "change that matters" as opposed to obama's changes that don't matter?

The dems logo should be:

DNC SEAL

In the 1980s, Digital Equipment Corp. started a huge product for a new logo. After several years and spending $200M (I am not making this up), DEC changed its logo from blue to the color of dried blood. That was it. It was a certain sign of DEC's demise. Several years later DEC went out of buisiness and was acquired by Compaq, wich in turn went out of business. In business, new logos are usually a sign of the company's impending death. Of course, DEC had a lot of other problems, too...
