Would Bill Maher utter a freaking word if Ms. O'Donnell admitted that once, in high school, she'd dabbled with an extremist form of Islam?
No. Because he's a punk. Yes, I said it. He's a punk.
Would the Washington Post raise a ruckus?
No, because they're punks too.
But there's no double standard.
And, last time I checked, there haven't been many stonings, floggings and suicide bombings by Wiccans.
“Actually, I think they would raise a fuss. Just look at how the liberal media reacts if a conservative admits to being homosexual, or is caught having an affair, or gets charged with a crime.”
It’s not a real ‘fuss’ though- they’re just trying to trying to exploit things for political gain. The hardcore Libs know that they would never vote for a Conservative candidate under any circumstances- what they are trying to do is to make unprincipled Republicans feel guilty, and to convince everybody else in the middle that the person is kooky. Meanwhile, the Dem candidate is free from blame because the leftists have no real standards to follow- the achievement of power is all.
“You know when Bill Maher calls the Tea Party a bunch of loonies, we are WINNING! “
I hope you’re right....I just sent out a notice to my neighbors about Tea Party forming in my area.
This is the response from one of the ‘useful idiots’.
“...explain to me what they are offering? Is this supposed to be for a witch craft
I heard that Cristine McDonald plays with some kind of witches and satanic altars?
I am not familiar with it. It is scary.”
HOW can anyone be that stupid??? Of course the name should be ‘Christine O’DONNELL’, but these fools don’t care about facts.
“Can we stop saying wiccans (or any group) are not violent like Islamic terrorists? It is illogical. Its similar to the rantings of the dead atheist Bill Hicks saying, Last I checked drug addicts arent violent like Christians which is an equally absurd statement. And equally uncomfortably boring, like an entire Hicks comedy set.
Little history. Hitler and the Nazis were obsessed with wiccan rituals, runes, witchcraft, and the occult. SS night festivals centered around a peculiar form of rituals that supposedly gave them superhuman powers. Last I checked Hitler and the Nazis managed to hate, kill, torture, enslave over 10 million for about 12 years. I think they even had time to fly a few bombs into buildings while they were playing warlock.”
I don’t disagree with your larger point regarding the double standard. But I think your supporting argument is a bit too extended. I think witchcraft, the occult, etc. is beyond goofy (and obviously deeply troubling if it leads to violence), but to imply that it was ‘warlock’ motivating their actions, while leaving out the obvious...?
I could name a ton of practices- out of context- and imply that they played a important role in Nazi Germany: Hitler’s vegetarianism, his anti-smoking beliefs, the fact that he turned a blind eye initially to the homosexuals that led the SA, etc.. Heck, the Nazis even adopted a symbol that was used by certain Native American tribes (who may have practiced scalping)...
None of these practices or symbols out of context of course created the underlying root of anti-Semitism. It may be near impossible to separate the horrible emotional impact of these symbols and practices from what happened- the same way that it’s difficult to listen to “Helter Skelter” without immediately thinking of the Manson murders. But the fact that something is co-opted and perverted by sick minds to attempt to justify or further mass murder, doesn’t mean that a practice, symbol, or song has a negative connotation in a vacuum. (As for somebody going around using Swastikas or playing Helter Skelter *now* after the fact...well, that’s a completely different situation, of course.)
And I think we could agree that the Nazis had a lot more in common with Islamic Jihad than 1600’s American witchcraft practices...
I think we’ve covered the main point of the elites wishing to destroy O’ Donnell’s reputation.
“I think weve covered the main point of the elites wishing to destroy O Donnells reputation.”
If you watch the tape in it's entirety, as I did, it's nothing more than entertainment, of 3 liberals pouncing on a young conservative. Hosted by screwball Mayer.
I hope they play all the tapes, IMO O'Donnell comes out on top.
Bill Maher’s IMDB Star Meter///
Maher is down 18% in popularity this week.
You can’t keep taking a hit like that when you’re working with such low numbers. Better start telling people you made the careers of O’ Donnell and Laura Ingraham
