VA Christian Activist Hopes To Distribute Korans
Free-Lance Star Newspaper ^

Posted on 09/27/2010 12:03:42 PM PDT by Amerisrael

The Korans that were to be burned in a protest by a independent fringe church in Forida, are now in the hands of a local Fredericksburg Pastor.

The Rev.Pat Mahoney hopes to distribute the Korans to churches for use in "interfaith dialogue."

Can interfaith dialogue be a tool used by Islamists to gain legitimacy?

Are there Biblical examples of "interfaith dialogue"?

What are your thoughts?

Someone has started praying at the alter of “diversity”, not Jesus Christ.

How do you have an inter faith conversation with people who just scream “die you infidel”?

So now those Korans will be distributed, that must have been a very convincing set of conversations that the FBI delivered to that Pastor.

Stupid. I'll respect this fool when he can show me an imam distributing Bibles at the local mosque.

The ONLY reason to have interfaith dialog with Islamics is for evangelistic purposes.

American Christians should be using the influx of Moslems to America as an Evangelical opportunity. Evangelize them. Bring them to the full knowledge and love of Jesus Christ.

Has this preacher actually read the Koran, or is he just stupid?

Islam teaches that Jesus did not die on the Cross but that someone else took his place or he was rescued. Kinda like some sort of "Holy Blood, Holy Grail", "DaVinci Code" concoction. Nor do they believe in the Trinity or that you can even dare to call God, Father or that He is a loving God.

Not much 'dialog' gonna happen with those obstacles.

Worse, he’s a “liberal” that claims the name of Christ.
He’s probably one of those that believes that he can pick and choose what he takes as truth from the Bible, in essence setting himself up as a higher authority than the Bible.

Do you know that they teach kids in schools these days that two opposite assertions can both be true?

Now you know why.

You would think that a bunch of korans inside a REAL church would self-combust. Guess this ain’t a real church...

Oh, for Pete’s sake, they will never get read if they hand them out at mainline Protestant churches or whereever.

[Face palm ...] Not that there’s any wrong with a bunch of those gathering dust on church library shelves.

But, seriously, it would be hard to “dialog” based on something as irrational as the Koran.

Dialogue with Islam is like trying to interact with a rapid dog.

Like Ol’ Yeller, it might be best to just put Islam down.

Exactly. Their prophet calls our Gospel writers liars. I think that pretty much concludes the religious dialog.

I hope they read up on how to “care for” these books, because if they do anything wrong, like carry them in their left hands or something, they might meet with violence.

His name should be Pogues Mahone. Look up the translation in Gaelic (”Póg mo thón”).
