Because "Education Majors" are kinda stupid & it usually takes them 6 years to learn how to paste macaroni onto poster board.

Normally it is a 4 year BA and a “masters”, which can be done in one year, to get tenure. All you need is the BA to start. The “masters” degrees, by the way, are utterly bogus. In fact, education MAs are notorious for their lack of substance. The reason for the MA is just to impress the gullible so that the unions can demand more money.
