mostly from his mom who absolutely worshipped Obama the Elder.That’s the interesting part of this, ZerO was trying to BE his father in part to make up for his father’s absence. Frank Davis was important, too, but the views were almost exactly the same, except that Frank taught ZerO to act like an American black when he needed to, because ZerO had no experience of living in that society. He wasn’t born to it, and didn’t live in it till his teen years. The later people, like Ayers, were influences to some extent, but they were more fellow-travelers that serve ZerO as his echo chamber/bubble that keeps his views from being effectively challenged. He gets his reassurance that he’s right from people like that.
