Snipped from If You Cant Play Tennis, You Arent A Person:
Radical femisogynist Jessica Valenti recently gave birth to a little girl. And while I doubt this subject is one shell ever broach, I have to say, I would love to know her thoughts. See, Im pregnant right now. Ive heard my babys heartbeat. Ive seen the heart beating on an ultrasound. Ive seen my baby kick its little legs and suck its thumb. I felt my baby move for the first time just a few days ago. I know exactly what Im carrying, and yes, its a person. I could see the eyes and the smile, I could make out a profile with a forehead, nose, and lips. I could see the little fingers and toes. It isnt some kind of meaningless bunch of tissue inside of me, its a person. A little person, yes, but a person.
When Valenti heard her babys heart beating, did she think it was just an abortable clump of cells? When she saw her daughter moving in her uterus, was it a fetus or a baby? When she felt her baby kicking, did she have any doubt about what she was carrying? If she had miscarried (and thank goodness she didnt), would she have thought she lost some fetal tissue or would she have thought she lost her baby? A pregnant woman knows the truth. Its why so many women feel they need to lie to themselves or avoid an ultrasound before an abortion. If they were to admit the truth to themselves, they wouldnt be able to live with themselves.
These are questions shell probably never answer.

Uh, I don’t know. How would anyone here at FR even begin to answer that question at all knowledgeably?
Leftists are not concerned with truth in anything, including this subject.
There’s a “womyn” who was a mother in my old playgroup who is radically pro-abort. She posted something on FB quite a while ago about expressing horror at the little stuffed “fetus” dolls a pro-life group was handing out at a fair booth. A little girl was hugging one lovingly, and that was what disturbed her. I don’t know why I haven’t unfriended her, she really disgusts me. Kind of like watching at a train wreck, I guess.
Title: "The Abortion Nurse's Daughter"
How would anyone here at FR even begin to answer that question at all knowledgeably?A lot of us work with lefties, have lefties in our families, etc. Some are even former libs.
Read this column by Jill Stanek and you will hve your answer: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=211857Thank you so much for linking that column!
You’re welcome!
What a libertarian woman?
Wow! What an amazing story! I wonder where in the country this all happened. How old is Abigail now?
A true libertarian woman (little 'L') would rather shoot you with free market ammo, but will use government ammo if you are an invader. A true libertairan woman recognises the rights of every human, including the unborn.
/johnny
Actually a true libertarian woman would adhere to the libertarian belief on abortion, which is, ZERO restrictions, just do whatever you feel like.
Don’t try and tell these people that libertarianism is a pro life party or political agenda.
What’s a “femisogynist”?
Whats a femisogynist?Femisogynist is a portmanteau of "feminist" and "misogynist." I first saw it used by Lori Ziganto (RedState, NewsReal), but a lot of other writers are using it now (like Cassy Fiano in the above post). Quite an apt description of the feminist Left.
And idiots that conflate drug use and license with true libertarianism are just that, idiots.
There is a big difference between the Libertarian party(tm) and true libertarianism.
If you don't know the difference, well, that just highlights some history of these United States that you don't know, understand, or willfully ignore.
I am a small 'L' libertarian, and I say that the rights of all people, even people that can't support themselves (say because they aren't born quite yet) matter. And that the unborn have the right to life.
/johnny
A Feminist who hates women????? Now I have heard of everything!
Yeah we all know that when someone starts calling a five year freeper a “newb” that they are flustered.
Libertarianism is pro abortion, is there a little sub group that doesn’t agree, of course, but we also know that with out abortion, dope, the homosexual agenda, and weak national security that libertarianism slips into being conservative.
According to the new thinking.
Horrible bastardization of the original way english bastardizes ancient greek.

I just GOOGLED her. Abigail appears to be about 30 on her FACEBOOK page. She is from Toledo, Ohio, and currently lives in Virginia.
Here is a lengthier version of her story:

I’m surprised that I never heard about this young prolife warrior until just now.
I wonder if she’s a FReeper.
Wait, that’s the one I already posted. Here’s the other one:

(Sorry, tired this evening.)
How many offices have YOU run for? Under what parties?
Paint with a broad brush on stuff you are ignorant about, and I'll keep saying it.
I don't support any party that would allow abortion on demand.
Drug use is stupid, but up to the individual. We have laws to deal with bad behavior that druggies might do.
National security is paramount, because without national security, there is no valid government to secure our rights, and we devolve to anarchy. And I will defend my rights even without a government around.
You still have no clue, and I'm guessing it is because you haven't studied much. Just read a little on blogs and formed opinions.
/johnny
This is the problem that I always thought I had with libertarians until I heard someone (Glenn Beck, I believe) explain it... There are conservative and liberal libertarians. Gues which is which?
Feeling that baby kick and move inside you....it has to change your mind at that point.
Locke talked about who owns the individual. Locke and I agree that the individual owns the individual, and not the state.
There lies the basis of foundational libertarianism. Formal political parties can/did screw that up.
I hope the Tea Party misses out on becoming an actual political party, and remains true to it's roots.
/johnny
Wow, you really need to get out more, I was involved with politics for almost 40 years before I joined FR, I hope you had a life before FR too, but maybe not if you think an early sign up date on an Internet forum gives you meaning and gravitas.
You admit that your conscious got the better of you and that you finally withdrew your support of your proabortion party, congratulations on catching up.
Not really, or they would call themselves conservatives, libertarianism is a leftist fifth column that is striving to destroy conservatism.
Their greatest, most successful politician ever, ran as his party’s Presidential candidate against Ronald Reagan, Ed Clark called his party of libertarians, “low tax, liberals”
Who do you believe owns you? You? Or the community or government?
Do you still support the Republican party that has shown material support for abortion, open borders, and higher taxes? Or do you have fundamental beliefs that reject the party line?
/johnny
Still conflating the Party with the philosophy. Can't quite grasp the fine disinction there?
/johnny
I didn’t just recently have to leave a proabortion, pro homosexual agenda, pro porn, pro drugs, weak on national defense political party because I finally decided that supporting a prolife party was better.
“A Feminist who hates women????? Now I have heard of everything!”
According to a Professor of Wymon’s Studies at the University of South FloriDUH, there is such a thing as a “male lesbian”.
How’s that for overstimulating your gag reflex.
PS The “male lesbian” hypothesis was part of a ‘peer reviewed’ paper - one can hardly imagine the review committee.
PPS When questioned by a newsie about the contradictions in the hypothesis, the PerfesserThing said “It’s a Post Structuralist thing”.
Bah! HUMBUGGERY ! ! !
Have you EVER read John Locke? The founders of this nation did. Do you have anything erudite to expound on his philosophy?
/johnny
/johnny
I read that wrong then, but I never had to part ways with a proabortion, pro homosexual agenda, pro porn, pro drugs, weak on national defense political party because I finally decided that supporting them was causing conflict with my personal prolife beliefs.
I left most parties behind because I have major philisophical differences with them. And I did that a long time ago.
Perhaps you might want to get away from the sound bites and TV long enough to think for yourself.
/johnny
Yes, it usually takes a moment of awakening to dispell the lies. One glimmering moment of truth, and years of propaganda fall away.
Now, I am vehemently pro-life. It's not a choice; it's a child.
/johnny
At least the proabortion, pro homosexual agenda, pro porn, pro drugs, weak on national defense political party, never sucked me in, like they did some people.
It's a human. With all of the rights and responsibilities of a human in it's condition. Granted, it can't do many chores, but it is still a human, with human rights. The first, being the right to Life. For without that, there is no other right.
/johnny
You are just going to keep on with the 'them' bashing? Out of ignorance?
I would hope that if you are as conservative as you want to seem like you wannabe, you get rid of all of your televisions, and crack open some books, and study some classic languages.
Given your responses, and broken record replies, you seem more comfortable just throwing out barbs as a keyboard warrior.
/johnny
I am very glad that you learned enough to leave that proabortion, pro homosexual agenda, pro porn, pro drugs, weak on national defense political party.
In 1974, it took me about 30 minutes to go from love to laughing at them, but I knew what to ask, and I knew who I was.
You aren't seeing or acknowledging the difference between the party and the philosophy. And you haven't answered the question about reading John Locke.
You seem stuck in your narrow world-view.
Is there any way you can be convinced to read Montesquieu or Locke, or any of the foundational philosophers of the great experiment we hope is a Free Republic?
It would really be better if people had a clue what a Free Republic really is.
/johnny
I never left a party, I have never belonged to a party.
How did you confuse my 30 minute conversation in 1974 with the low tax, liberals called libertarians, where I pointed out that I left laughing at them, with joining them?
Is there any way to persuade you to start voting as a conservative, and against the radical leftist social agenda of the whacked out libertarian/leftists?
I know that FR does not support the homosexual agenda, or the abortion agenda, or the open borders agenda, or the weak national defense agenda, of the libertarians.
back to this-
“We’ve all heard stories of women changing their minds about abortion after viewing ultrasounds. Is it different for a dedicated pro-abortion activist like the one the author mentions? “
I would simply say that
this is her wanted child,
the planned 1,
one that isn’t interfering / won’t interfere with her current lifestyle,
and all the other scatology they vomit.
When will the Republicans slip into being conservative?
JRandomFreeper, you don't get to call yourself 'libertarian', because ansel12 says you can't.
Kind of like letting muslims decide who is Christian.
Conservatives are more conservative than the Republican party.
The Republican party is far to the right of the proabortion, pro homosexual agenda, pro porn, pro drugs, weak on national defense, libertarian party.

If she’s about 30, then all of this activity with her mother must have occurred in the 80s sometime.
Yes, and Planned Parenthood has gotten 20 times more evil since then!
(Michelle Obama has been on the PP Board for that many years. Now these PP witches sit and dine at the White House.)
Ironic that you keep running into libertarians that are pro-life, pro-traditional marriage, anti-drugs, and strong on defense.
You keep using that word 'libertarian'. I don't think it means what you think it means.
