Dozens of Americans being murdered in Mexico - WHAT WILL IT TAKE??
TheTownCrier ^ | Oct. 13, 2010 | Thetowncrier

Posted on 10/13/2010 12:38:45 PM PDT by AuntB

We can only estimate the thousands of deaths of US citizens by illegal aliens on our own soil. The media fails to report them, the government ignores them. The murder of David Hartley, on Falcon Lake in Texas and the subsequent beheading by those same cartels of the lead investigator in retaliation have thrown some attention on the threat to us all by the failed state of Mexico.

The Arizona Daily Star gives us some facts.

Forty-eight Americans were murdered in Mexico during the first six months of 2010

The tally doesn't include two Texans reported killed Sept. 30 in separate incidents in isolated areas of Tamaulipas,

A college freshman from Brownsville, Jonathon William Torres Cazares, was shot and killed after authorities say his public bus got hijacked on a highway in Tamaulipas.

State Department data shows at least three other Americans were slain this year in Tamaulipas. But no details were available. In much of Tamaulipas, the news media are no longer reporting on crime because of threats and violence against journalists carried out by drug traffickers.

Last year, 80 homicides of U.S. citizens were reported in Mexico, compared to 57 in 2008 and 35 in 2007.

At least 13 Americans have been slain in Ciudad Juarez in 2010, including an employee of the U.S. Consulate, Lesley Enriquez, 35, and her husband, Arthur Redelfs, 34.

State Department homicide statistics tell only part of the story: Many killings abroad never get reported.

Three U.S. citizens , all from New Mexico - were reported by Mexican authorities to have been abducted during a May wedding at a Catholic Church in Juarez. Their bodies were later found dumped in a pickup truck, but those three homicides do not appear to be included in the registry.

The State Department refuses to reveal the names of the victims, though consular officials are required to monitor investigations abroad that involve U.S. citizen victims and communicate with families. A State Department warning said four U.S. citizens had been murdered in Gomez Palacio in 2009-2010. Many more killings of Americans have been reported in Chihuahua state, which includes Ciudad Juarez and borders El Paso. Sixteen U.S. citizens have beenLink reported slain there so far in 2010 - 13 died in Juarez .

But here is where the double standard of Mexico, and too many of our elected officials really gets ironic. While Mexico and Obamanation turn a blind eye to the dangers and deaths of US Citizens by Mexicans, Mexico is in New York demanding (and getting it!) protection for their border jumping citizens here against harassment! None of them died! Mexico refuses to let us investigate the murder of David Hartley in Mexico and chops the heads off any Mexican investigator who tries! This has gone on so long, that now Mexicans are beheading people in our cities.

[snip]Police are investigating another assault on a Hispanic man in Staten Island as a possible hate crime — and the Mexican government is now getting involved as well.

“We will act decisively in order to protect our citizens and will actively promote that those guilty of these vicious attacks are brought to justice expeditiously. We are working hand-in-hand with local authorities on all levels,” said Consul General of Mexico in New York, Ruben Beltran in an email to the Staten Island Advance.

Beltran has asked the NYPD to “conduct a thorough investigation” of the alleged hate-crime cases. Beltran has offered “extensive cooperation and all the necessary support to ensure that justice is served.”

This latest incident has promoted the Mexican Consulate to post personnel in Staten Island until further notice. This move is an effort to safeguard the rights of individuals and effectively assist and provide information to the Mexican residents of this area.

Mexican officials have also created an information line that for immigrants to contact if they are afraid to contact authorities directly.

Immigration Enforcement ‘Surge’ Nets Thousands of Gang Members (image)More than 11,000 gang members and their associates have been arrested over a three-year period.

And what is the cost to us for Mexico exporting its own criminals to our cities?

CNS news reports: U.S. taxpayers are spending at least $18.6 million per day to house an estimated 300,000 to 450,000 illegal immigrants who are incarcerated and eligible for deportation from the United States, according to data from the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Department of Justice (DOJ).

The cost per day for these prisoners is based on Justice Dept. incarceration cost estimates from 2001 and on the lower-end figure of 300,000 incarcerated deportable aliens, which means the actual expense today could be substantially higher than $18.6 million per day.

Mike Cutler, former INS agent and TV commentator has a message.

I am forced to once again ask, "What will it take?"

What will it take for our government to finally secure our nation's borders, especially the border that is supposed to separate the United States from Mexico? I was angered, as I suspect many others were, when at first the news reports appeared shortly after the story broke that an American citizens had been killed on the Mexican side of Falcon Lake that indicated that Mexico was not willing to participate in the investigation, even calling into question the truthfulness of Tiffany Hartley, David Hartley's distraught wife.

Mexican officials also also refused to permit American law enforcement officials to enter the Mexican side of the lake in order to search for Michael Hartley's body.

However, when 6 citizens of Mexico were allegedly assaulted in New York City- Mexican officials took to the streets of Staten Island, New York to patrol New York City streets to protect their citizens and were not blocked from doing so by the local government.

Trackback: Beheadings become signature of Mexico's drug gangs CUERNAVACA, Mexico - The preferred form of cruelty by drug cartel henchmen is to capture enemies and behead them, a once-shocking act that has now become numbingly routine. Decapitations emerged alongside another gruesome tactic - dumping the bodies of rivals in vats of acid. Cartel goons have moved away from that method, however.

JUAREZ IS IN AGONY October 13, 2010 by m3report

El Diario de Juarez (Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua) 10-12-10

Editorial by Martin Coronado

In the midst of a huge economic crisis intensified by violence, extortion, kidnappings and government apathy, Juarez is in agony. To continue as we have, according to experts and business groups, this city cannot last for more than six months. This border city, which in 2007 recorded full employment, was a paragon of economic expansion, and an example for the rest of the country. Now all that is an illusion.

The war between drug cartels, extortions and kidnappings have brought unemployment, the massive closure of businesses of all types and the exodus of people, assets and businesses to El Paso and other cities. The businesses that have opened are now closed due to almost three years of losing customers. Experts have said that Juarez could take advantage of the economic crisis in the United States had it not been for the violence that broke out after the government declared war on narcotics.

Federico Ziga Fernandez, President of the Chamber of Commerce, said that until security returns to Juarez the economy cannot grow even if recovery comes to the United States. He said that if extortions and kidnapping do not stop, businesses will continue to close or look for a more peaceful place where they can invest and generate employment without the risk of losing their lives or personal assets.

Jorge Contreras Fornelli, President of Economic Growth of Ciudad Juarez, said that obviously it is violence that is retarding the economy in Juarez. He said that when there is crisis in the United States, its businesses usually look for places like Juarez to invest. But this time, it is not like that because violence reduces and blocks growth.

The federal government started the war against crime without anticipating the collateral economic damage. While there is no security, no strategy of economic recovery will work and the city continues to pay the price.

The bloodiest narcotics gang

La Prensa (Mexico City) 10-12-10

OEM – In Mexico the last letter in the alphabet is synonymous with extreme violence and terror connected to a growing band of narcotraffickers that has spread over vast areas of the country over the last few years. “Los Zetas” started with a band of 40 deserters from an elite unit of the Mexican Army and grew into the most violent drug cartel with thousands of members. Like a Frankenstein monster, they fight against the security forces from which they originated. They are well armed and use military tactics they learned before they deserted.

The Zetas, operating with the complicity of the police, in many instances, have become a major pain to the government. They compete with other cartels for drug routes into the United States, and engage in kidnappings and extortion.

The Zetas are experts in counterinsurgency tactics learned from the original members who trained in United States Military Schools. They united with violent local gangs and terrorize entire local populations where they extort “protection fees.”

“They are a paramilitary organization that has taken the model of the Colombian paramilitary (FARC) generating terror among the civilian population and creating political instability,” said Adalberto Santana, author of the book, Narcotics Traffic in Latin America.

Years ago, when they were part of El Golfo Cartel, the Zetas swelled their ranks with former Kaibiles, an elite unit of the Guatemalan Army. Until a few years ago, the Zetas operated principally in the northern state of Tamaulipas but then expanded into Nuevo Leon and Coahuila. Today kidnappings, charges of “protection money” to businesses, bars and restaurants are routine even in remote parts of Tamaulipas and other states.

Days before the state elections in Tamaulipas on the 4th of July, the most popular candidate for Governor, Rodolfo Torre, fell by gunfire from a group of Zetas, the most serious political crime in the last 15 years. According to various newspapers, the leader of Los Zetas, ex-soldier Heriberto Lazcano, AKA “El Lazca,” had gotten revenge for the capture of two of his main lieutenants.

In the middle of this great crime wave between different cartels, there have been nearly 29,000 deaths despite President Felipe Calderon’s operation against them. In recent months, supposed Zetas massacred 72 migrants, the majority of which were Central Americans, who were intercepted on their trip to the United States.

With 40 million potential democrat votes at stake when Mexicans are made US citizens, don’t expect Big Brother to care about a few murdered Americans.

What will it take?

It will take someone “important” such as a politician or a member of the demonrat’s media getting killed until they pay attention.
The violence doesn’t affect them and their loyalty is to the party first and foremost. They leave the little people to fend for ourselves and then sue and harrass border states that are trying to get the feds to enforce the existing border.

People should not vote for open-borders scummy RINOs like the people in AZ who just voted for McCain or support pro-amnesty RINO scum like Karl ROve.

Ok. But what do you do when the ‘mean dog’ is allowed to run your yard, attack your children and you are forced to feed it?

It will take getting the obama regime and most of the democrats out of office - they have shown no desire to protect our country or its citizens.

It's time for us to protect our own borders and shores for a change; we've tried it for most of the world, and all we get is insults and a bowing, apologetic president.

Everyone forgets what this freedom that we have enjoyed all our lives, has cost. Thousands and thousands of American lives have been sacrificed, and it should not be taken for granted. We've worked and fought for over two hundred years to build this great country, now the ones who don't have the cajones to fight their own dictators and criminals want to run here and be coddled from cradle to grave.

Uncle Sam should not "run" from a Chihuahua, nor should he ride a camel.

I know, I know.
But the view is a lot different here in Texas.
Not long ago, a college student was murdered about 1/2 mile from my house.
By who you ask? Well, let’s not go there. I’m sure you get the idea.
It’s not just Americans being killed in Mexico.
But the innocent Americans being killed in America, by the same people, is getting out of hand.
The gub’ment lacks the testicular fortitude to push back.
So, it becomes our responsibility to push back.
And we need to push back hard.

Activism is the answer.

To me that means agitating against the tyrant and against the tyranny...making government conform to the constitution by literally bringing out the pitchforks and torches to (peacefully) demonstrate our anger.

Engaging in conversations on boards like this are fun, but at some point boys and girls need to go outside to play and make sure the gummint knows we’re serious.

“Stop going into Mexico people!”

I stopped going in the 80’s. The problem is, how do we stop MEXICO from coming here??? Their war is now our war, beheadings and all.

Yet, there are MANY, even here on FR, who insist Mexico is just fine!

Despite warnings, Mexico still draws Americans
FALCON LAKE, Texas — Despite a bloody drug war raging just across the border, some Americans living near Mexico act as if it’s still a backyard playground.

In the last two weeks alone, two American tourists have been killed in Mexico in vicious attacks — one while riding a Jet Ski and another when his bus was hijacked. And a Mexican police commander investigating one of those deaths was killed this week, his severed head delivered in a suitcase to a local Army post.

But Texas officials keep encouraging boaters to enjoy the bass fishing on a border lake. And Gov. Rick Perry has not urged people to take any special precautions, suggesting only that U.S. and Mexican authorities increase the law enforcement presence in the area.

“There’s like a psychological aspect to these kinds of warnings, that folks just don’t take them seriously, or perhaps they believe the authorities are simply issuing these for liability reasons,” said Fred Burton, vice president of intelligence for Stratfor Global Intelligence, which analyzes the drug war.

“There are people that say, ‘Well, I know this area. I’m comfortable. Nothing will ever happen to me.’”

Tiffany and David Hartley may have been two of those people. David Hartley’s father, Dennis, said his son was not aware of any violence on the lake.[snip]

Foreign governments patrolling American streets! We the people may need to get involved sooner then we think.

We all need to get involved by putting pressure on our elected officials, campaigning all those who push amnesty and open borders, education, avoid hiring or supporting illegal aliens. I have met people who say they want to do something but do not know what.

We have to keep a watch on the likes of Lindsey Graham and Johnny Sutton who might pull a fast one. Although Sutton resigned, he said he was going to keep one foot in Conservative groups.
