If it is not the Lord’s will that she defeat her disease, then may He grant her grace and mercy in her untimely departure. May He watch over her children and assure that they have no bitterness.
I pray that Mrs. Edwards is one of His own, so at least she has the comfort of “going home” when her life’s work is over.
May her husband repent and give himself to the Lord’s work.

I don’t wish any pain or misery on her. This is a horrible way to go.
Her having cancer does not make her noble or honorable. She stood by her husband for years while he was a trial lawyer and politician. They are both leaches on our country, making millions off the misery of others.
I agree with you, on all counts.
That said, some kids are about to lose their mother at far too young an age.
What I hope is that, in some of her contemplative moments, she thinks about some of the doctors her husband sued, which earned them their fortune. As she is one with a terrible, serious illness, hoping for any kind of a cure, regardless of how risky or elusive, I hope she sees the damage her husband did. Only God Almighty knows how many medical careers John Edwards destroyed.

John Edwards unscrupulously destroyed the medical profession in North Carolina. He made hundreds of millions on false and misleading claims of medical malfeasance. His contempt for human decency extended to his own family, his wife and children. He and his wife are reaping a whirlwind of pain and torment.
Troubles come to all of us. It is not good to revel in another’s anguish but it is instructive to see that none of us are above the torments of the world.
John’s only concern right now is making sure he’s the sole beneficiary on her life insurance policy. What a low-life scumbag he is.

Agreed. And if you read “Game Change” she is a raging bitch. I don’t wish cancer on anyone but I am not going to fake sympathy for her.

We all die. How many of us will die a more painful difficult death because of lawsuits generated by people like her husband. IMO she helped with the damage. She certainly knew it was occurring and stuck by her hubby.

He might end up in jail because of his legal problems. Months ago the tabloids were reporting that he was staying at a house on the beach and hitting on a female bartender.
I agree, I hope she has a gentle exit.
However, she chose to marry that scumbag and stay with him for years. She also was a 50:50 member of that team when he was lying and cheating to get his money. She also a full partner when he was lying and cheating to become POTUS.

I worry for her children. With Elizabeth gone, they will certainly go to John. He is awfully self absorbed. Is he still seeing Reille? She was selfish enough to have an affair with him knowing he was married and Elizabeth had cancer. She knew she was hurting Elizabeth and she knew she was hurting the kids. I do hope she won’t be their new “mother”.
