Take up a freep-a-thon tagline.
One of your own or something you see someplace that you like.

Guess I’d better leave then. I know exactly where my money goes and if you want to donate to whatever organization please FEEL FREE!

I’ve been a-dollar-a-day member for years. If there were more of us, we wouldn’t need FReepathons.

A minimum of 10 bucks, folks. Othewise you admit that you believe in Welfare, because someone else is paying for your time here.
That approach is not going to help and may actually hurt the "Freepathon" and cause many good people on FR to take offense.
You also seem to be ignoring folks who contribute their time composing the posts, along with JR's efforts of course, that make FR what it is.

I agree that that’s one way to get rid of freep-a-thons.
I’d agree with getting rid of the “need”, but I’d still have them.
Everyone who participates should contribute is the principle that I’d stand on to encourage the Robinsons to keep having freep-a-thons.
The F-thons are in everyone’s face reminding them that they have a responsibility, too. I like that.

Yep, and you seem to be the expert when it comes to that analogy.

I send 30 a month. That's almost the same.

...may actually hurt the "Freepathon" and cause many good people on FR to take offense. I'm not a big believer in the constitutional right to freedom from offense.
