Mel Gibson still able to find a job
snarkfood. ^ | October 20, 2010

If you want your new movie to suffer the kiss of death, casting Mel Gibson is probably a good start down that road, since at the moment he’s about as popular as stomach flu. However, that hasn’t stopped him from getting a role in the sequel to The Hangover, aptly titled The Hangover 2.

A cameo appearance in the original Hangover movie did wonders for Mike Tyson’s career, so it’s possible that Gibson is wondering if he can follow suit with some comedy of his own. After all, nothing says “hilarious” like a misogynistic racist with violent tendencies and a history of physical abuse and bigoted rants!

Whew. For a second there I thought that the writer was going to call Gibson an alcoholic. That would've made me mad.

“After all, nothing says “hilarious” like a misogynistic racist with violent tendencies and a history of physical abuse and bigoted rants!”

By this standard, I guess Hollywood will never again employ a rapper.

I love Mel. I thought his wife was a bitch. The good news is that he has a billion dollars. I welcome him back as one of the great talents of all time.

Somehow I don't think Gibson will have a problem landing new roles, as he owns his own production company.

The writer's a bimbo.

These people go to the movies too.Not everyone who attends a movie is perfect. some drink, some curse, some are anti-semitic, some are racist. You would be surprised how many of these watch the flicks.

Icon is his prodn company. I know someone here in Hollywood who used to be a lightsman who worked in one of his films. Mentioned to me he was just talkative and didnt stop talking so it was awkward for them to say “Mel, just shut up”.

“I love Mel. I thought his wife was a bitch.”

Yeah, I can’t agree with all his rants, but I still like him too. His wife secretly taping their private arguments and airing the dirty laundry in private to gain leverage in the divorce just makes her a first class scumbag in my mind.

Mel can come off as loony, but he is obviously an intelligent and talented man, so I think he is just one of those people for whom genius and a bit of madness go hand in hand.

Mel Gibson looks like a younger version of Saddam Hussein in this photo.

I do too. His last movie, Edge of Darkness was great. It even had a Senator from Mass who looked like Kerry, Vietnam vet and all. I love Mel.
