Now that Fox News contributor Juan Williams has been dropped from National Public Radio, the liberal website Media Matters for America is now targeting Mara Liasson, the last remaining NPR correspondent who works with Fox News.

“NPR’s Mara Liasson and her long-running association with Fox News has often raised questions. This might be the proper time for NPR to finally address that thorny issue,” wrote Media Matters columnist Eric Boehlert Thursday in a post entitled “What about Mara Liasson?” “[I]f you look at NPR’s code of ethics, there’s simply no way Liasson should be making appearances on Fox.”

Boehlert cited an official NPR document that says employees may not make media appearances that are “harmful to the reputation of NPR or the NPR participant” or “where the employee’s appearance may appear to endorse the agenda of a group or organization.”

Boehlert said that since Fox News pushes a “political agenda,” Liasson’s association violates the organization’s code of ethics.

In 2009, it was reported that NPR pressured Liasson to cut her ties with Fox News, a network she has contributed to since 1997. Liasson did not immediately return a request for comment.

We have to stop Media Matters now.

Please use your contacts in the media to get the word out.

Both media matters and NPR just got millions from Soros. He owns them both.

This is why it's so important tax payer funding is removed. They're privately owned, left wing extremist companies now. Like Err America, They serve no good purpose.

Hey who cares. Let NPR purge people. They pretty much have the same lack of credibility as MSNBC. This only hurts them more.

Mara should just do a preemptive strike and quit on her own terms, and then get a sweetheart deal at Fox just like Juan.

Please, liberal fascists at NPR, please fire Mara Liasson as soon as possible, preferably before November 2.

Let all of America see the sublime virtue of your tax-payer funded ideological purity as you continue your purge against those who are not as pure and good as yourselves.

Entirely correct. Liasson makes NPR look like a claque of liberal ideologues, which is certainly not good for their reputation.

Those who defend "subjective truth" as a sign of philosophical sophistication inevitably carry it to such extremes as to adopt a demonstrable psychosis.

Get dumped on by liberals, get $2 million contract extensions from Fox the very same day. Sounds good to me.

No just let the new congress defund them. They have no business taking public money when they’re obviously biased. They want George Soros to be their sugar daddy, let him fund the whole damn thing. Their lack of tolerance will be noted by the public (well maybe not the 7 or 8 who are loyal listeners). My guess is ole George is trying to do with NPR what Air America couldn’t. Let him try. You can poor as much money into the system as you want. It won’t change the values and character of Americans. If that were so we wouldn’t be having this great and wonderful awakening we’re having now.

Great. And then FOX NEWS will pay her $22 million and give her her own program five days a week—right before O’Reilly! That will show those stinking Leftists who they are dealing with!

I love the sarcasm, very nice! Only liberal women are defended by NOW. Conservative women are traitors the cause and actually have it much worse from groups like NOW than conservative men do.

She appears pretty much a liberal personally or at least not a conservative. Her reporting and opinions on Fox are usually mainstream left. Why would NPR fire her? Juan Williams has always been a little wimp. I wouldnt want him working for me.

Let Media Matters act like the nattering totalitarians they are. Mara Liasson hasn’t done anything she needs to apologize for. Media Matters is in favor of any journalist who does what Media Matters wants them to do. That’s not journalism, it’s censorship.

As for Soros, he’s probably a sociopath. I have seen nothing in his personal history that indicates he cares about anything but Soros. He’s not doing this because of liberal principles, he’s doing it because he likes to manipulate people and things. And I seriously doubt the Left cares two bits about Soros, either, but they’re more than willing to take his money.

Finding NPR is easy - they are on the far left side of the radio dial.

Literally.

Most are down there between 88-92 MHz.

All you need to know is that a lot of these so-called liberals actually have the attitude of little totalitarians. With that knowledge, you can deal with them appropriately.

Methinks that I like to watch liberals get smacked by their own and wake up a little to the fact that they are “Usefulidiots”.

Our side can use the likes of Juan Williams to our benefit.

No way NPR fires Mara-the spotlight on them is too hot right now. Imagine the backlash...

On another note, I see you’re from Austin. I’ve heard good things about Salt Lick-is the BBQ there as good as I hear?

"I could not find NPR on the radio of my life depended on it."

It's usually down the dial in most cities. To the south of 92 on FM and low on the dial on AM. The news shows are left wing tripe, however they actually have good programs on there if you like offbeat stories, interviews with different people, classical music and jazz.

Even though he's an extreme left winger, I like listening to Garrison Keilor and a Prairie Home Companion. To me, he is like the modern day Mark Twain. When he keeps his politics out of it. I remember when Reagan died and he announced it on his show (he died shortly before the start of his show and it was breaking news). He had nice things to say about him and his audience (who is probably made up of a lot of lefties) booed and hissed and he admonished them to have respect for the fallen President.

There are a lot of good BBQ places in our area. I have never eaten at The Salt Lick, but know plenty of people who have and they really liked it. County Line on the Lake is great too.

Rudy's motto is: We serve the worst BBQ in the world.

Believe me, that is truth in advertising. I ate there twice - my first and last at the same sitting.

While NPR White house correspondent Mora was rumored to have born the child of Bubba Clinton in exchange for the job.

There is now no Bubba and no job.

Juan Williams is the token Negro everywhere he has worked and that is lots of places. He is a trivial affirmative action casualty
