The fact that the banks have maneuvered the whole thing so that they could make money on the upside in fees and the mulitple selling of the same mortgages to investors and then having the government make them whole when the scheme cashs on the downside is just business and usual.

I was just going to state that if they take away my mortgage interest deduction, I’m walking out on my mortgage, but then I remembered I posted it to you on another thread. But BofA is supposedly my mortgage holder now, since the Countrywide debacle, and they better not mess wif me too much either. I’m not getting into a situation where the whole rest of the country is “doin’ da default” and only a few of us are left holding the bag.
Actually, I might, because I like my house, and I like being a homeowner, and I still consider it something of a privilege and an honor.
