No idea why anyone should count on Lieberman or Nelson.
I wish the GOP had Leiberman’s press guy - the guy is nauseatingly liberal but manages to get people to think he is moderate to conservative socially. He’s not.
Agree w/ you. Nelson cant become a Republican; he'd just lose in the primary to the current governor, who is interested in his Senate seat. Of course, he could do it not for re-election purposes, but to have a more pleasant final two years.
In 2012, think Ben will retire rather than risk a sure defeat.
