With little doubt about the outcome of tomorrow's elections, the speculation turns to what the reaction will be to the historic GOP victories. Will President Barack Obama shift toward the political center? Will all those shiny new Republican lawmakers keep their campaign promises to shrink government and control spending? Will those in the Tea Party movement remain engaged and involved once this battle has been won? All those answers will come in time but what we'll probably find out instantly is will the mainstream media abandon its self-assigned role of liberal cheerleader and return to honest reporting?

DNC media...nothing more, nothing less.
They have been trained to hate republicans. So like Pavlov’s dog, they hyperventilate when they hear the very word.
Fire the Democrat party activists who chair the nightly news.
Fire the editors who type the scripts that they read nightly.
Without a purge and a “mea culpa” from those who co-opted journalism, there can be no “coming clean”.
First have to admit that you abused the job you held. Put that in the historical record.
Even today Dan Rather claims the memos were “fake but accurate”. And even today the name of the people who created those documents is not “mudd”.
Without public shaming of the corrupt figures, there can be no resolution.
More Americans know of the Twenty-One gameshow scandal or the Alan Freed “payola” scandal that the rotten corruption in the nation’s newsrooms.

I can’t see that there is any media bias anymore. To claim “bias” would be to consider that there is ANY objectivity in the media accounts.
It’s nothing but DNC-Media collusion. Journolistgate exposed that.
I would like nothing more than to find a competitor for Fox News. Not because I don’t like it but to insure that we keep alternate sources to compete against each other for our viewing business.
The media and ALL of TV supports Obama/elites/Dems/Islamics. Too much Saudi money or deals at ALL the US TV networks. Prince Al Waleed’s American TV.
The media has a plan laid out for the next two years and it is right out of the 1995 / 96 playbook. We’ll get a Time Magazine cover article with some Republican dressed up like Scrooge. We’ll get the Colin Powell interview where he says the new GOP Congress is “too harsh” on the poor. We’ll get the Confederacy references again. Any spending cut will be accompanied by pictures of haggard-looking old people and emaciated children. And any hint that the Dems are doing better will be played up as the return of the Dems. And, of course, the GOP instantly will own the recession on Wednesday.
Such is not possible, it would negate the their reason for being.

I agree that the media is unlikely to change. It's central to their self-image -- they are smarter than you, they care more than you, they understand how the world really works better than you do. They can't admit that their views are wrong. But politicians have caught on. Sarah Palin takes no prisoners with these people. Christine O'Donnell is the same. And that Robertson guy in Oregon (running against DeFazio) did a masterful job of slamming Mr. Rachel Maddow a few weeks ago.
As more people on TV demonstrate an open willingness to declare that journalists are blatant idiots and liars, I think the news business is going to become very masochistic.

Agreed. Very similar to GM. Just like the media, GM sold me garbage for years until I finally quit buying their junk. Then GM improved their product because they had to, but still couldn’t survive on their on . . . but sorta did with a government bailout, which the Commie Rats will try to do with the media also. I quit “buying” MSM news years ago. It will be a long time, if ever, before I will buy GM or MSM products again . . . They have not suffered enough for screwing me all those years, and neither has rehabilitated their credibility. As far as I’m concerned, they can rot.
They need to turn right and go straight.
