Senate candidate Carly Fiorina is in the lead in the California race. This comes as even FoxNews has projected the race for incumbent Democrat Barbara Boxer. Fiorina appears to have a solid chance of winning this race, as she is leading in heavily Republican areas with many precincts yet to be counted.
Boxer is winning in San Francisco and Los Angeles, as can be expected but they appear to not be as wide as could be expected. According to Politico Fiorina has opened a .7% lead statewide over Boxer.

Something stinks.
oh, please, please, please, please, please!!!!

Boxer back up slightly:
California - 5787 of 24845 Precincts Reporting - 23%
Boxer , Barbara (i) > Dem > 1,518,714 > 47%
Fiorina , Carly > GOP > 1,502,384 > 47%
Mainstream media projections have been wrong before and they will be wrong again.
It’s a dead heat.
I would love to say “Bye, bye, Boxer”
Al Gore won FL you know.
Why r they calling this race so damn early!?!?
It’s like the media is trying to force her into conceding.
Go babe!
Never give in!
I’d love to see her go, too.
Looking at the county percentages , (if they are accurate), It doesn’t look that bad.
The media is touting exit polls as hard science and valid. They seem to favor exit polls as more legitimate than actual vote count.
I am holding on!!! Maybe there is a chance!
(And the Loser Media definitely called it too early, no matter what - they called it by 8:10 or so!)
I sure hope Brown loses. He has lost his mind anyway. Doesn’t his wife do all his work?
At 10:57 pm PST, Carly Fiorina is neck and neck with Babst Boxer. Both show 47% of the vote with 28.58% of the votes counted. Unless I’m missing something, I don’t understand why Fiorina is listed as the loser here.
Brown is beating Whitman by 5% with 26.81% of that vote showing. I’m not sure why the percentage of votes in both instances here are not the same.
If 28.58 of the Senatorial vote is counted, why wouldn’t 28.58% of the Gubernatorial votes be counted?
Boxer is starting to pull away...
FOX started calling it for Boxer not more than 20 minutes after their polls closed in CA. They didn’t even have any vote totals up but the check was there by Boxer’s name. Same thing with the Brown/Whitman race.
What the hell???
Problem is boxer has been around long enough to know how to steal a really close election in lib. california. fingers crossed
ABC 7 Los Angeles Reporting (11:02 pm)
With 31% of the votes counted...
Boxer
1,649,508 48% of the vote
Fiorina
1,613,609 47% of the vote
With a 36k vote spread for 3.65 million votes counted at this point, doesn’t it seem a little odd that this race has been called by everyone for Boxer?
There’s still over 68% of the vote to be counted.
It could be that the large metropolitan areas are the last to have their votes added in. That may be the problem here.
They may know that if Fiorina hasn’t made the grade from the rural parts of California, she won’t make it at all.
We’ll see...
