Reid: "I Welcome Every Opportunity to Work with our Republican Colleagues"
Pundit Press ^ | 11/10/10 | Aurelius

After narrowly beating Republican challenger Sharron Angle and waking up to see a landslide of anti-Democratic voting last Tuesday, Democratic Majority Leader Harry Reid has declared, "I welcome every opportunity to work with our Republican colleagues." The statement comes as a 180 to the formerly anti-Republican Senator, who famously compared the GOP to those who supported slavery.

In a statement on his campaign website, Senator Reid explained how important it was to work together with Republicans, even though most of the legislation that the Senate has passed in the last two years have been down party lines:

"The message that voters throughout Nevada and all across the nation sent to Washington is that they want Democrats, Republicans and Independents to work together to find the common ground needed for real solutions and real progress...And I also welcome every opportunity to work with our Republican colleagues as we know the challenges that lie ahead of us know no political affiliation."

"Work together" from the man who said this last December:

"Instead of joining us on the right side of history, all the Republicans can come up with is, 'slow down, stop everything, let's start over.' If you think you've heard these same excuses before, you're right. When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said 'slow down, it's too early, things aren't bad enough.'"

The notion that republicans would “work with” Dingy Harry is in a word, frightening.

Lying sac of male bovine excrement! >:-(

He’s done everything he could possibly do (short of lining pubs against a wall and having at them with a machine gun ala Valentine’s Day Massacre) to marginalize the Republicans for the past 4 years, proudly! Claiming “they’re holding us up! they’re blocking this and that!” when the Republicans had NO power to affect any changes in any real way! “The Party of No”???

Dingy Harry and Nanzi, you’re about to find out how true that is!!

NO to Obamacare
NO to Cap and Tax
NO to unfairly taxing the ‘rich’ (those making over $150K a year)
NO to foolish earmarks
NO to burdening our kids and grandkids with trillions of dollars of debt

NO NO NO NO NO!! >:-(

Must be hard to “work with” someone who has serpents coming out of their eyes and nose. Evil bastard. Stole the election in Nevada, now he’s all weepy.

Funny how a guy’s tone changes when his nads are in a vise.

The last 4 years will suffice in showing that there can be no compromise with pure evil. The days are desperate, and action has to be taken to stop this ruin.

What he’s saying is that he doesn’t want to be shut out of legislation meetings. Screw him, Screw Nancy, screw the Democrats. Let them cool their heels while we shut THEM out.

As we learned with Slick Willie, it depends on what his definition of “opportunity” and “work with” is.

Reid isn’t saying he wants to work with Republicans because he wants to work with Republicans. He is saying it (likely) because a good number of the Democrats up in 2012 are nervous about jumping on his Majority Leader train again.

Reid: When this country belatedly recognized the wrongs of slavery, there were those who dug in their heels and said 'slow down, it's too early, things aren't bad enough.'"

Right. And who was saying 'slow down, it's too early' to abolish slavery? DEMOCRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! Harrah Reid is a contemptable, slimy pos. You'll get nothing and like it Harry. Same for your little witch friend in congress.

Some of those Democraps who are “up in 2012” should consider crossing the aisle to the Republican side, not because Republicans need crossover RINOs, but because the Democrap Party is doomed in 2012. ...Remember all the Democraps who jumped ship in 94?
