Mystery missile launch off Los Angeles: my rant, my thoughts, my summary.
State of the Nation ^ | November 14th 2010 | Self

Posted on 11/14/2010 9:14:48 AM PST by DontTreadOnMe2009

My rant:

"This is not an airplane, You can tell from the plume. In 40 years I never saw a jet fighter create that kind of plume" says the retired three star Lieutenant General Tom McInerney.

And I agree with him.

"I am absolutely certain that that is not an aircraft."

You can see for yourself the smoke coming out of the back of the rocket, literally.

You can see the glare from the rocket's engine–literally.

You can see that it is a heavy thick voluminous smoke plume, being ejected towards us in a corkscrew pattern as the missile rises up and away and shoots off into the sky, getting smaller and smaller, until it disappears.

You can see the rocket sitting on top of this huge powerful thick smoke trail as it rises straight upwards, then makes a course correction for the north. It is not an optical illusion. It is not a thin flat wispy condensation trail of water high over our heads, as it would be in the case of an airliner that would be flying nearly above us on its way to Phoenix, Arizona.

You can see all of these things very very easily with your own two eyes, as did the three experts that I introduced here on my blog, State of the Nation.

I introduced you to the Jane's missile magazine editor, Doug Richardson, who seems to have instantly and without any doubt at all confirmed it as a missile launch–please check my previous posting about six posts back. Do you recall the interview that he gave to the Times of London newspaper? Actually, this was my first post on the matter, because I believe Jane's missile magazine Editor to be such an authority and expert.

I introduced you to the former US ambassador to NATO and the former Undersecretary of Defense, Robert Ellsworth, and his unequivocal statement could be seen and heard in the Fox news video interview, and you can see him smiling and laughing as he says these exact words: “Spectacular! That is a missile! It takes your breath away!!!”

It does take your breath away.

Then he went on to say “That is a very large missile, submarine launched, and you can tell it is of great size by the tremendous amount of smoke that it is putting out.”

And then I introduced you to a very famous Thomas McInerney, three-star retired lieutenant general of the Air Force, very forcefully and authoritatively stated “That is a missile shot from a submarine.”

I wonder what more evidence anyone in the world could ask for?

If you watched the Fox video you will see the female reporter say “I don't know but I've heard what the general says and he should know–and it is not only the general, I've heard this from other sources also”.

And then, laughingly, amazingly, you can hear the other reporter, this time the male seen at lower right, announce that "Maybe it is just a toy rocket set off by children from a boat” and then he says “It could be just a prank”. And then Sean Hannity says “This is not a Roman candle. What kind of fireworks have you been getting for Christmas?” To which the reporter replies "Some of these toy rockets are pretty sophisticated".

Well, everyone, did you think that this ICBM submarine based missile launch was set off by children as a prank?

Do you wonder where this kind of uninformed opinion, stated several times in the video interview, comes from? Could anyone possibly be so stupid without outside help?

You also might want to take a quick look at the LAX WebCam site which stated “We have never seen anything like it in 20 years at LAX. It was amazingly fast. It just disappeared in no time at all.”

And now for a few conspiracy questions:

Where is the original tape?

It seems to have disappeared–you have never seen it, now have you?

It is supposed to be 10 min. long–2 min. of the booster stage until the rocket on top of the smoke plume disappears into the sky heading North by Northwest as it gets smaller and smaller–followed by 8 min. of the lingering smoke plume, because the volume and size and shape were so amazing and the camera man had never seen anything like it before, and stated so, in his 15 years of working in a news copter, so he left the camera running to record the smoke effluvia (this is the word that the Jane's defense expert used and so I use it here).

So where's the tape? Why can't we see it?

I read that the Los Angeles Times had announced that the government had confiscated the tape but I do not see any confirmation of that rumor. But I do see lots of confirmation of the fact that the tape has disappeared–-- it is not being shown anywhere; only tiny pieces of it; which make it much harder to judge, of course. If we had the tape to analyze and look at, if we could watch the entire launch from beginning to end, if we could see the color spectra inside the bright flame coming from the back of the rocket, then some analysis perhaps could be done.

So I say again, with such a large breaking story, and it is now all over the news channels, where is the full tape? I see parts and pieces of it on CNN, CBS, ABC, but mysteriously nothing on NBC–I wonder why. And of course Fox news had the very long interview with Lieut. General that I posted here earlier–-- so one would think that the video would be available but one would be mistaken.

I have heard a few quiet murmurs here and there on the Internet and from friends and associates that the US government is absolutely flabbergasted by what happened but that they are outwardly playing it very quietly by announcing “We don't know what it was–do not worry, sheep, it is not a danger to the nation”, so as not to cause panic or criticism.

These words alone are enough to make any normal rational thinking person start to worry.

(a tidbit from another board)

Here is some info about the heli pilot.

http://www.angelcityair.com/pilots.html

Derek Bell - Pilot/Reporter
Derek was born and raised in Los Angeles and maintains an impressive scholastic and military background. Derek attended Harvard School and San Diego State University where he received his commission in the Army Reserve. He is a graduate of the U.S. Army Officer Rotary Wing Course, in addition to Air Assault School and Infantry Officer Basic Course. With over 10,000 hours of flight time, Derek holds Airline Transport and Flight Instructor ratings for airplanes and Commercial / Instrument ratings for helicopters. He has been a flight instructor, charter pilot, corporate jet pilot and has flown Huey’s and Cobras for the Army. Derek has been flying for KCAL in “Sky 9” since 1996, and has been with Angel City Air since its inception. Derek has recently taken up golf and he and his wife Yvonne, spends as much time as possible on the course.

Hard to belive that he with an ATPL can not identify a contrail.

Not a plane.

The poor pilot inside would have been splatted by the G force acceleration. Nobody has even mentioned that yet.

Was it US or foreign? Thats the BIG Question.

For the people who quote Contrails “Science” as their source for “debunking” the missile launch here’s interesting background on Contrail Science’s Mick (Mike or Michael) West’s history:

Here’s another one of Mick/Mike/Michael West’s websites:

So what is Mick/Mike/Michael’s agenda? Is he a scientist, a computer programmer, a doctor, a pilot?

McInerney’s comments are the only ones worth paying attention to, the rest just show what dunderheads they are - Hanninty included. It is clearly a missile.

Remember back in the Cold War days when we actually paid attention to stuff like this? We’d be responding much differently I’m certain. Whieh makes it all the more likely that this was expected, and that we are on the receiving end of an official cover-up.

I’m no consipracy nut - but I’m not a farmer either and I still can recognize BS when I smell it.

My first thought was that it was a missile launched from a submarine. I live in very large military area and 2 Naval Aviators of my aquaintance assured me that the plume we saw was NOT a contrail. They both agree that it was probably a submarine launched missile. The real questions are whose submarine and what were they trying to prove?

This was a little psy-war act by a foreign government, deliberately launching a missile from a point close to our territorial waters, aimed AWAY, when just as easily, it could be aimed TOWARD a target within the US.

Just Red China come to protect their interests they already hold in the continental US.

WE don’t have to wait until 2030 to find out the Americans will be working for the Chinese. We are already working for them. That was to show the world that Red China is the coming superpower, and we have become their vassal state.

It was a long way away, in the sky, with no reference to determine size, taken with unknown magnification. It is much like the UFOs that are just “lights in the sky”, where you cannot judge size or distance.

I would like to see experts in optical phenomena, meteorologists, and astronomers chime in on this. Just how many launches has the Jane's missile expert studied the contrails of? Just because you know a lot about missiles doesn't mean that you know a lot about vapor trails in the atmosphere.

Could it have been a defensive interceptor missile? Why would the military fire a missile off the coast of Los Angeles? Los Angeles has been targeted for attack by jihadis in the past. There was the plot to crash planes into the Library Tower in downtown LA and there was the attempt to blow up LAX.

If this was a Chicom SLBM, and I’m leaning in that direction, the govt’s silence and attempts to move the discussion to contrails is not a result of some secret Chinese stealth tech. If that sub was there, we knew it.The missile launch, whether deliberate or accidental, could never be publicly admitted by the USN.For a Chicom boomer to be 35 miles west of LA is de facto an act of war. That is certainly a place we or the chinks don’t want to go. So we don’t out their boomers and they don’t out ours. Someone on the chicom boomer screwed the pooch. Now the US Govt is reduced to saying “Move along. Nothing to see here.”

Actually, it is now a very old and well explained story. It was an a/c, America West/USAirlines flight 808, Hawaii to Phoenix.

#1: Photographer who took video said in broadcast interview that he had seen it repeatedly, even the last time he was flying, a week earlier.

#2: Numerous pleasure and commercial boats in area heard nothing. Rockets are very loud. Shuttle launch wakes us, 55 miles from Cape.

#3; Look carefully, plume is not coming from glow area, but a bit behind it. Obvious in high quality videos.

#4: Glow is actually setting sun glowing off polished aluminum lower wings of a/c. Color temperature is clue here.

#5: Multiple commercial pilots, especially those who fly west out of LAX, SFO, SEA and others, see this regularly at sunset, and so reported.

#6: Plume is actually expanding contrail.

#7: Any launch would have been very quickly seen by IR DSP satellites in high orbit.

False alarm. There are many.

Just started reading Joel Rosenbergs book Dead Heat last night.

In it 5 nuke missiles are launched off both coasts, and hit LA, DC, NYC and Langley, from cargo container ships.

Its kind of creepy reading this in light of this last week.

People like Rush and Hannity say that Joels novels are almost prophetic.

Since this book was written in 2008, and the possibilities that COULD have happened, it almost does seem prophetic.

The biggest difference, in the book, the President who is targeted by these missiles, was a man trying to steer America through some trying times. In reality today, our president is as much an enemy of our country as nuke missiles blowing up in NYC, LA or DC.
