And then there's the ‘WINK.’

Say what you will, LBJ was in on it...

Yeah you’re right. The wink proves it. Absolutely. No point to review anything more here. LBJ was totally behind it.

“Dad, do you remember the day Kennedy was shot?”

“Yes, Son. I remember it well like it happened just yesterday. I was about your age.”

“They say that Lyndon Johnson was behind it. What do you think?”

“Well, son. I’ve read many books on the subject, and I’ve watched some documentaries. Read the Warren report too. And there’s been a whole boat load of new information that’s come out recently with the release of information act. I didn’t think LBJ was behind it at all, until I saw a post on Free REpublic. It showed a “wink” that someone gave LBJ on the plane, just after he was sworn in as president. Jackie and Lady Bird are standing right there, and probably didn’t see it. I think there’s a guy in the background about to pop champagne too. After seeing that photograph, I’m now convinced, that YES LBJ pulled it off.”

“Gee, Dad, you are the most smartest man in the world.”

“And you’re a great son.”

RE: "Say what you will, LBJ was in on it..."

I remember those days. LBJ was not likely to be on the ballot in 1964.

One of Senate Majority Leader LBJ's top (if not the top) aide Bobby Baker was in big trouble and facing prison. LBJ would not be far behind. RFK's DoJ was closing in fast.

Then there was the "suicide" of U.S. Department of Agriculture employee Henry Marshall who was nailing LBJ friend Billie Sol Estes for criminal activity. Lots more. And over the years the truth about Mr. Marshall's murder finally came out. If I am not mistaken Billie Sol Estes provided the details years later (1980s?).

.. no, no way could LBJ be denied the protection of a high government job (VP) and a good chance to be president in 1968. In crime look for the money -- sure, but also look for who had the most to lose if the crime was not committed. IMO.
