Democrat senator says that unemployment benefits, not tax cuts, create jobs

Democrat senator Sherrod Brown says that unemployment benefits, not tax cuts, create jobs. Appearing on the lowly rated and hardly watched "Hardball" program on MSNBC on Tuesday, Brown took a page out of his Minority Leader’s playbook by ineptly declaring that unemployment benefits are the way to economic prosperity in the US. In the same breath, Brown also decried tax cuts as not doing anything for the US economy in terms of growing jobs for people who want them. Sane people would think that Brown was doing unfunny stand-up comedy, but Brown was being 100% serious. He is the second prominent Democrat after Nancy Pelosi in the last couple of months to declare this ignorant and deranged lie that forms the core of the Democrats’ economic message.

Well now I’m confused. After I got laid off last summer and spent six months retraining to do something else and reducing my standard of living to survive, I found a job and got hired by a rich guy who owns the business I now work for. I guess I should have been sending my resume to other unemployed people instead, huh?

Just who keeps electing these anti-American fools? What an ignorant putz. Using this assclown’s logic, we should all go on unemployment so as to make the economy better! Someone...anyone...pull this vacuous klutz aside to check if aliens have removed his cerebral cortex. I bet even his family finds him odd and nonsensical.

Brown, just another ass who proposes sending happy dollars to those who are hopefully on the dole for a short time. I guess if everyone were on unemployment, we would have a very large and growing economy, by his reasoning.

Brown, another terminally stupid individual.

The government gives people money so that they will buy goods so that jobs will arise to make those goods. Those new jobs and goods will pay the taxes to the government that will then be sent to people to buy goods. It is so obvious! The government can build instant and lush prosperity by giving vast amounts of money to unemployed people!

LOL so true.

Following his logic, we should un-employ everyone, pay them benefits and watch the economy just skyrocket!

With the liberal claim that unemployment monies and food stamps "create jobs" they now admit that "trickle down", long thought to be discredited Republican voodoo, works after all, but only when monies extracted from the private sector are first siphoned by bureacracies, the remainder then re-introduced through government, never when allowed to remain in the private sector to begin with.

Prior to serving in the United States Senate, Brown served seven terms as a United States Congressman for the 13th District, two terms as Ohio’s Secretary of State, and has taught in Ohio’s public schools and at Ohio State University. He is married to Pulitzer Prize-winning Columnist Connie Schultz.........

Democrat senator Sherrod Brown says that unemployment benefits, not tax cuts, create jobs.

So, if all the folks on unemployment got a job, it would ruin the economy?
