I use cube steaks (they usually come, two in a package) that are already tenderized. I call them “Chicken Fried Steaks” but the recipe I have calls them “Country Fried”.

Now I’ll finish smacking myself upside my head for forgetting the MAIN INGREDIENT!!

I used a 9x13 pan, sprayed lightly with Pam. Since I used extra apple it required slightly longer cooking.

Nothing in particular. Whole roasting chicken. Tomorrow I am making a stewed rump roast. Will let y’all know how it turns out.

If anyone has any one pot meals recipes, please send them.

I got a Fridgedaire. It has the smooth top, which I am not liking because it always looks dirty. I got the 5.7 cubic foot oven, which I love! I got my Christmas cookies done in half the time with the convection oven. I put three cookie sheets in the oven at once and they baked beautifully. I think it ran about $700. As I am not a fancy cook, I didn’t get a fancy oven. My daughter has a Viking, but she cooks like a chef.

I am trying to find a recipe for something I made over Thanksgiving. I had clipped the recipe out of a magazine and then tossed it after I made it, thinking I could find it again, either in a magazine or the internet.

It was a pumpkin cheesecake with a crust made of gingersnaps and required baking. It called for lots of cream cheese and 1 can of pumpkin. Can anyone help?

Try this link.
The allrecipe site is a definite first go-to when looking for recipes, if that isn’t the one-search around on the site

Please add me to your list. I will post what I am making now in my small crock pot. CROCK POT SLOPPY JOES:

1 lb. Hamburger(we use lean)
1 1/2 Tbls. Sloppy Joe seasoning mix
1 can tomato soup

Layer 1/2 hamburger with half of the seasoning and top with half the tomato soup. Add the rest of the ingredients. Cook on high for 1 hour. Smash up the hamburger (I use a potato masher with squiggly wire). Turn to low heat, finish cooking, and serve as needed during the day.

This recipe is very similar to the bread my granny always made every Saturday.(Baking day). Instead of oil she used melted shortening or lard. The yeast was dissolved and a little of the sugar added. It was covered and allowed to rise(made a “sponge”).

She didn't have loaf pans. She used pie pans, and formed balls (about the size of soft balls) and placed 3(well greased) in each of the pie pans.

When the bread had cooled, she wrapped it in a clean cotton T-towel (made from a flour sack). This was placed in the granite water bath canner and covered. It sat on the counter and helped keep the bread fresh.

Granny never had store-bought bread. It was always homemade.

My beer bread recipe calls for 7 Tablespoons of sugar(less if you don't want it sweet)for each 3 cups of flour and 1 can of beer(12oz). It is my all time favorite to whip up when I am running out of bread, and am not ready to make a trip to the store. LOL.

I have also experimented with adding Cinnamon and raisins and sometimes nuts for a quick breakfast treat.

Agree. I think it was originally called recipezaar and some of the reviews by readers open up many variations on a theme. What a pleasure to also be able to store your recipes in your personalized box for safekeeping. Please add me to your list as well. Thanks.

BTW did you know the freepers published a cookbook of their favorites awhile back called The Clinton Legacy Cookbook?

So, that's what it turned into....

That's neat! Is it somewhere on this site still?
If the Robinson's want to do it again the index will be on my profile page

It was unbelievable.

I have made both versions of dressing: cornbread and french bread...honestly, both are delicious.
Holidays are difficult without family members (believe me, I know) have a very, merry, happy Christmas!!!
