According to opinion polls (mainly Public Policy Polling) the race is divided between three main candidates: former Governor Mitt Romney (leading in eleven states), former Governor Mike Huckabee (leading in nine states), and former Governor Sarah Palin (leading in seven states). The most fascinating result is that Mike Huckabee is leading in Sarah Palin's Alaska.
Three other candidacies are limited in their appeal to certain regions: Newt Gingrich (leading in two states), Tim Pawlenty (leading in one state), and Senator DeMint (leading in one state). Three of the four states are their own, and nineteen states have not even been polled on the election, according to a recent review of all available data, which I hope is updated in the near future.
So who is leading?

That was discouraging.
It’s early.
This is going to be fun to watch. Let not your heart be troubled.
They have no idea what is in store...
PPP polls are designed to discourage conservatives. That is their mission.
Only one of them has been relentlessly maligned in the media pretty much non-stop. If her daughter puts a clip in her hair, it’s talked about as her having a “hair dresser” with her in Haiti.
“Mike Huckabee is leading in Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”
Horrifying if true. I will vote for the most conservative candidate in the race in the primary. I will vote for whomever wins the nomination. I hope to be able to do so enthusiastically.
Encouraging that Sarah has anything in the NE. I’m impressed given that territory is commie RED media market.
The Romney/Huck choices are code for “haven’t decided” in my humble opinion. The South is usually hard core early on one over another, but we all know we are nominating a CONSERVATIVE, or we won’t nominate at all!
Mitt............Romney? I’m gonna throw up. And I gotta bad feeling he’s got the bucks necessary to buy off the Gov’t media; the fix may be in.
First off, most people are not paying attention since the election is 2 years off.
Second, Republican voters are not united behind anyone. The libertarian wing supports their guy, the RINOs support their guy, the fiscal conservatives support their guy, the social conservatives support their guy, etc, etc, etc... This is not a united party at the moment. That doesn’t mean that it won’t be. But as of right now, not everyone is behind one person. That’s the reality.
no one on list will make it.....I have a hunch who will
do it...especially bringing out much needed minority
votes. Mum for now. JK
That is pretty much one group more or less. I think they would have gone Mitt Romney, version 2002.
A list of liberals trying to decide our candidate again... ain’t going to work this time.
LLS
I will vote 3rd party if either of those socialists are nominated.
LLS
Romney though has money and possibly just enough support to make a serious push.
It does not take much to win a primary with a field of 8+. If the RINOs are united behind Romney and that equals 35%, he’s going to win. That’s how McCain won.
The biggest problem Palin is going to have is trying to explain why she resigned from governor before the end of her term. And that might be a big reason for her falling support in Alaska.
I do.
I am guessing you do too.
Not after Obama resigns the Presidency to become Secretary-General of the United Nations.
;-)
shhhhhhh
it’s going to be fun to watch!
Why? Are you still confused or were you not paying attention?
That had nothing to do with my correction of your rino post.
As far as Romney, you sure have a consistent way of promoting Romney and denigrating Palin, subtle, but consistent.
As far as Palin being asked about resigning her Governor’s office, throw her in that briar patch. That question is a softball pitch that Palin will use to her advantage as it gives her an opportunity to give a spontaneous and moving answer about America, her beloved Alaska, the biased media, the destruction of liberal politics, and her wildly successful, conservative, national crusade, every time a reporter is dumb enough to bring it up, it wont take long for them to quit laying up that pitch if she decides to run.
