Have you ever stopped to think for just a moment WHO or WHAT exactly is a "Tea Party".
The Republican Party "godhead" <- Small "g" would have YOU to believe that the "Tea Party" is under their control and will/does serve as the grassroots arm Republican Party. The more I get involved in the "Tea Party" movement the more I realize the REAL power of the Tea Party movement is in the LOCAL INDEPENDENT groups not some National "Tea Party" organizaing/steering committee.
This is KEY to understanding why it is so important that the REAL Tea Party folks (100s if not 1000s of independent groups some small (maybe 10 or less members) and some quite large and GOOOH join forces and and take on the Republican Party "godhead".
As we look forward to 2012 I am cautiously optimistic that we be able to field a TRUE grassroots candidate in each and every one on the 435 congressional districts and replace all 435 members of the U.S. House in 2012!
I know that I am preaching to the choir here on FR so I will refrain from going into the details.
The purpose of this thread is to ask my fellow FReepers who are also members of a local "Tea Party" group if they have already joined GOOOH.
Let's get GOOOHing
http://www.GOOOH.com
lol...
One of our “sayings” in GOOOH is that we have the PROCESS to produce the best candidates that money CAN’T buy ! :)
So the answer is NO there is no “income” potential for joining GOOOH. the GOOOH process will play out in each of the 435 congressional districts INDEPENDENTLY. The National campaign will only promote the PROCESS so the candidate that emerges from the process in each district will indirectly benefit from the NATIONAL CAMPAIGN !
More details at http://www.GOOOH.com
So, if one wants to actually run, not just become a member, or if one wants to have a state or regional GOOOH group, there is no charge?
AMEN ! Thanks for that comment I agree completely !
Several years ago I started sending a “refund request” for previous donations to the RNC in those postage paid envelopes requesting MORE MONEY !
ABSOLUTELY CORRECT !!
“We cant seem to put together a War Room capable of responding to the mouth of Harry Reid, nevermind a mindset to combat these usurpers hand to hand on the floor of Congress, all the way to and through the campaign of 2012. Republicans, instead, find it easier to cave to the dems while they borrow lines from the Tea Party and imply solidarity with the Tea Party and throw their weight around verbally to the media, because of OUR victory in the November election, but they NEVER battle back.”
Very well stated!!!!!
And while I thought it was nice that Boehner teared up once in a while and was emotive to certain subjects, I can see where this will be a HUGE problem! I don’t think this guy will be able to stand up to the dems. Even though in the minority, the Witch of SF will probably still be running things next year.
So, if someone is working really, really hard to promote GOOOH nationally, they could, in fact, be helping elect a pro-abortion communist from San Francisco under the GOOOH banner because GOOOH has no principle platform, it is all about the political process? Are you comfortable promoting GOOOH knowing you could be helping empower a pro-abortion, pro-gun control candidate somewhere?
I backed a solid conservative candidate in PA-13 this year. He spent just under a million, his opponent spent 3.3 million and overwhelmed his momentum at the end. And the only reason he had that much was that he put in a half-million of his own money.
Are you so naive that you think money doesn't matter in politics? TV spots are not given away for free.
mnehring,
The ONLY influence any single member will have in the PROCESS is in THEIR congressional district.. period.. If conservatives FAIL to participate in the PROCESS in their district and allow liberals to dominate the PROCESS in their district than you can’t blame the process for producing a liberal candidate... I have been doing this a long time my FRiend, and I can tell you that liberals don’t like the GOOOH process because it forces them to expose their REAL agenda and commit (in advance) to voting a certain way on EVERY major issue.... that is the process my friend! so yes.. in essence in districts that are overwhelmingly liberal you can expect the consensus candidate in that district to be a bit more liberal than others.. but consier the fact that the most hard core liberals would NOT be interested in the GOOOH process and therefore would be a non-factor... REAL constitutional conservatives dominate the GOOOH membership at this time so you can expect that trend to continue... so in the end if you particiapte in the GOOOH process and the candidate that emerges is too liberal for you than guess what you don’t need to vote for that person, but at least you can say you particiapted in the process !
dirtboy,
You are correct and we will NEVER be able to remove all the money influence in the political process, but we need to start somewhere and GOOOH is great start IMHO !
There is no reason for a candidate for a seat in the U.S. House representing about (700,000 - 800,000 people) needs to spend MILLIONS to get elected. The process that requires you to spend millsion to “apply” for a job that pays $150,000 makes no ecconomic sense to me. And quite frankly keeps folks who would make GREAT Reps out of the process. GOOOH invites ALL those citizen patriots out there to run for congress and actually win !
Wrong. If you promote a process that can fail by design to advance conservatism, I am not interested it in. You are too wedded to this process and not to the end results. That, quite frankly, is little different from the Republican party that you are railing against. And the battle is not against the process, but against the federal behemoth in DC that is what corrupts good people once they get there. Your approach would toss out those already in DC who are fighting the behemoth.
We are very much aware of this dirtboy, which is why GOOOH will run a National Campaign on the PROCESS and invite EVERY voting citizen to participate in the selection process in THEIR district ! GOOOH has no power, nor does it WANT the power to influence WHO wins the selection process in each district... GOOOH is the PROCESS period !
You are deluded if you think that process can accomplish jack. But, then again, you were crowing that your guy in the Florida Senate primary got seven percent of the vote, so maybe your sights are a bit lower than most.
dirtboy,
you know very well that GOOOH is a threat to the Republican/Democrat “coalition” that has ruled American Politcs in our lifetime!
Replacing ALL 435 members of the House with CITIZEN/PATRIOTS who will take control of the Purse Strings of the United States will be a major victory and you know it ! I suggest you join us or get out of the way.. period !
You criticism of a PROCESS that you know nothing about is unwarranted and not helpful in advancing the conservative agenda and you know it.
I would like you on the GOOOH team sooner than later, you have some great energy that can bring a lot of like-minded folks into the GOOOH process, but you are not helping by sticking up for the GOP “godhead” which we ALL hope to take down in 2012!
just my 2 cents worth my FRiend.
dirtboy,
Your deep allegiance to the Republican Party is noted my FRiend!
Yeah, whatever, Mr. Seven Percenter.
All GOOOH represents is a distraction from a larger movement. You can't win, but you sure as heck can help conservatives lose ground. Which is why your movement is such nonsense and needs to be opposed.
Your idiocy is noted. Again.
I think the one you are referring to is the last one. I hope this helps.
