I know this is a seminal moment, because for the first time since Ive been here, we stood up and said enough."
These were John McCain's comments regarding the successful GOP filibuster of the Omnibus bill. Hey, Senator McCain, now that you realize the effectiveness of a united Republican front against the liberal assault on this country, maybe you will use it more often? You are precisely correct about this being the first time in your tenure that the RINOs stood up. Please don't let it be the last. According to your own admission, it took 28 years to unconditionally stand up to the Democrats on a single issue. We can only hope that it doesn't take another 28 for the next time. Imagine if you had coalesced opposition against DADT, the tax porkulus, and START. In fact, you voted for the introduction of the START treaty, even though that only required 34 Republicans to obstruct it. Imagine if you would have fought so valiantly against McCain-Feingold. The first time is a real charm, isn't it?

McCain has no business being in Congress. Neither does anyone else there for that matter.

Seminal....ugh! Did he have this “seminal” moment because he got overly excited about being reelected? Kind of like chris matthews’ tingle-down-his-leg moment?
John, of course I voted for you over the current POS in the White House. You’re a million times more of a man that he will ever be, yet you (and most of the rest of the garbage in CONgress) are million times less than what we need. Thanks for you service to this great nation. Do us a favor and resign.
How hideous must our situation be if finally even McCain gets it.
The best part of that ran down momma’s leg!
There is something very seriously wrong with any politician who received votes this year from people who weren't even born when he joined the Senate (1987) and who can still say this today. Any real man would have stood up to say the same thing at least $3T ago, at the very latest, and a fiscal conservative who loved America a lot earlier than that.
Please pardon me if I missed something, but on the subject of Republicans finally standing for something; where the $#&! has John Boehner been the last week or so?! With all the momentous things taking place, and all the pure horse hockey trying to be rammed through congress this week, and Boehner not seen or heard from as far as I can tell!
Good question. Let’s show how much we appreciate the icon of conservatism...a real fighter for individual rights against the totalitarians...
