At a time when the economy is in total meltdown mode, when Phoenix police officers and Arizona border patrol agents are being slaughtered by a drug war Obama refuses to fight, Congress focuses on gays in the military while it has no ability to help us win the wars we are waging or turn the economy around.
Isn’t the whole point of being gay that you are attracted to same sex individuals?
With the repeal of DADT (Don’t ask don’t tell) in the military, individuals who are gay will no longer have to hide that fact. In other words, the whole world will know that they are gay.
What a neat advantage gays will have when sharing close quarters with straight people. They get to go into locker rooms and ogle the goods in their naked splendor. Can you imagine a lesbian master seargent who has been in the service for a few decades going to check out all the cute twenty something honeys in the locker room? How about if the same seargent wants a relationship with that cute honey? The honey goes to complain and is told that it is simply not politically correct to complain about the gay lifestyle and to grin and bear it.

What would the difference be? Why have seperate but equal bathrooms at the Pentagon where 70% of the women support DADT, seeing how people who are sexually attracted to your sex are allowed to use the same bathrooms. Same should hold true at the Whitehouse, the State Dept, and of course the House and Dirkson Bldg, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand taking a dump next to Saxby Chambliss,how progressive!

You have to find a way not to hate and still resist. If you hate you will always end up giving in. If you do not you will always win.
Macho soldiers will simply dare any queer to make a pass at them. Keep in mind, these people have an unlimited supply of guns and the wherewithal to use them. DADT is not repealed. In fact it has become the only way queers will be able to survive in the new military.
Everyone to the showers! Men, women, homosexuals, lesbians, transvestites. Why discriminate against anyone? No sex left behind. Who cares about winning wars. That’s not important. Political correctness above all.

I think we will get a military that is significantly more homosexual than the general population. Straights will leave or not enlist and gays will be more and more attracted. There will also be heavy recruitment by advocacy groups and command coercion to accept the new military. Disciplinary procedures will be skewed against straights, etc. At least this is my prediction unless there is a huge change in our elected leadership.
This will open the gay marriage issue. Two gays get married and get base housing as a benefit. Great for morale! Not.
Make the gays shower with the lesbians.

But, under DADT, straight service members stripped and showered in front of homosexuals -- they just weren't talking about it. Straight servicemen couldn't ask, "Hey buddy, what the hell are you looking at? Are you queer or something?"
If a homosexual serviceman kept his trap shut under DADT, and was reasonably discreet, he could watch all the naked men he wanted to. I'm not sure it's all that different, strip-and-shower-wise, with DADT repealed. Except that the straight servicemen now know who the queers are, instead of guessing and having to keep -their- traps shut under DADT.
Frankly, if I was queer and in the service, I'd STILL keep my trap shut. The hell with "coming out" to my buddies.
This whole stupid thing is gonna backfire. I predict a lot of "out" queers are gonna get the sh*t kicked out of 'em over the next year or two.
The consequences will be horrendous. Imagine kids playing at the park seeing two men hugging and kissing. How about two women sharing a long kiss at the base elementary school. The homosexuals will probably be as “in your face” as much as possible.

This is not going to work. Not going to work. What's next? How to stop this? How can we as conservatives support the military - the men and women who do NOT want homosexuals hassling them and turning the military into NATO? Most in the military do NOT want "open" homosexuals next to them, even under DADT it's been bad.

This is why I have been actively working against my daughter entering the military. She only occasionally mentions it, in passing, But I do not want her in these type of circumstances.
