Apparently I am what you describe as a "misguided soul". Though no one who has discussed politics with me would ever call me a liberal, also they never heard me endorse Palin for the office of U.S. President.
By no means do I rule her out, yet I need to be more convinced that she will be qualified to take the U.S. back to some likeness of the greatness she once had---never perfect but it sure was better!
No they would be in hiding and not say that they love Stalin or Mao!!!! They would be in jail!!!
This would be more than a one man (or one woman) job no matter how virtuous the occupant of the oval office. If Sarah does OK while not fouling up the job bad enough to sour the voters on another similar candidate next time around, she will have done well in passing the baton in a longer effort. I’m not chiefly speaking of your kind of skepticism anyhow. I’m concerned about those who would sooner let abysmal policies go on forever rather than have them replaced by a less bad, but still imperfect policy.
If we still had true states rights which Lincoln destroyed with the civil war then we could watch them rot. One state could have economic freedom and prosperity while another was fooled into the socialist dream. In the end you would have a Liberia controlled by socialists next to Alaska or Texas. In the end Michigan/Liberia/Maryland/California and New York would self destruct. Alaska and Texas would absorb all who wanted to “earn” a living.
The problem now is the “Federal Purse” is controlled by leftist scum who would sell their grandma for a vote and they prop up these corrupt state goverments.

I have been indifferent to a Palin presidency, but each day I realize that there is practically no one out there who speaks for me like she does.
I’m in my 50s. I missed the draft for VN, but I will always believe that my generation had the most potential to finallize what is good in America and bring that to the world.
I think Kennedy had that ability to unite people from all walks of life from all over the world.
I think Palin does too.
There are many nay sayers out there. Charles Kruathammer for one. It’s not that he’s against her, he just doesn’t think that she is ready.
I hope she waits. That she is not the first to committ. That she lets the others like Huckabee, Romney etc fight it out with their cautious banter...then she steps in because the people want her to.
Getting back to my generation. It’s all about independence. I see Sarah putting us back in the direction we should be. Get rid of these useless govt departments. Privatize the postal service except for the military.
Get rid of dept of education and energy.
WE sent a man to the moon in the 60s. And we have the technology now to provide cheap and clean energy for every American.
We have the capacity to educate and provide health services for everyone, but not through the govt.
She speaks for me. She is not afraid. Just about everything she says is on the money.
She can free up our country from any dependence on others...yet bring others with us....
We spend billions of dollars to burn corn for fuel, because Iowa senators get what they want for their state. Have we gone mad? ARe we crazy people? Burning food for fuel? Which probably uses more energy to do so.
When we have billions of barrels oil in shale, the capacity to go nuclear...
What has happened to us? Are we totally run by the environmentalists? Is there no one to stand up to these bast*rds and speak for us?
But she’s not ready. She’s not ready yet.
But give it time....and she will be, and even Charles will back her.
