Fox’s Geraldo On Arizona Shooting: “This Event Affects Sarah Palin’s Political Future”
Mediaite ^ | January 9, 2011 | Alex Alvarez

Posted on 01/08/2011 10:55:24 PM PST by 2ndDivisionVet

Late Saturday night, Fox News Channel’s Geraldo Rivera, discussing the Arizona Safeway shooting that left Congresswoman Gabrielle Gifford injured and six others dead with Tea Party 365 co-founder David Webb, “went there” by invoking former Alaska governor Sarah Palin. Palin’s name has been linked to reports on Saturday’s shooting thanks, in part, to the “crosshair” imagery used in her so-called “Hit List” of 20 politicians, previously posted on website “Take Back the 20.”

“However unfair the link is,” said Rivera, “I think that this event affects Sarah Palin’s at least short term political future.” He then offered his prediction that, tomorrow, Palin’s name will (still) be tied to the media’s flurry of reports on the shooting, facing “criticism and scrutiny” for a perceived link to alleged gunman Jared Loughner.

I could care less who is on the ballot in 2012. I’ve already decided that I’m voting for Palin. I’ll write her in if I have to.

History repeats. The media selected John McCain just like they will select Romney, only to kick him under the bus. Their right. GOP is the stupid party..

Geraldo is smoking dope. This guy was connected to the left. They are backing away from this nonsense as fast as they can now.

Um, as another story on FR showed quite clearly, DailyKos had an article about that same group of Democrats and it used the terms "target" and "bulls eye" in citing the need to de-elect these people.

McCain won the nomination because he beat the other candidates. No one would listen when warned it would be him or Guiliani. They went on and trashed Rudi including the wholesale purge here of his supporters then flopped around bringing up absurd alternatives to McCain all of whom were roundly rejected by most Republicans. It was not the media which did all that.

Geraldo is certifiable.

Fox News needs an earful - Geraldo does not determine who runs for political office, nor who will watch Fox News in the future based on a leftie loon’s predictions. If they want responsible journalism as their mantra, Geraldo needs to be shown the door. By the way, he and Shep have alienated millions of tea party and conservative viewers today alone.

Same here. I take these attacks on Sarah Palin as personal attacks on me. I’ve had it with hate filled liberals and so called “concerned” Republicans. They can all go to hell.

Huh? You think the media is NOT going to do what Geraldo predicts? I think there is no question that that is true.

I had to turn the channel, couldn't watch him. At one point others were talking about Congress-members that have been attacked in the past, and they brought up the shootings in the 1950s at the capital where the shooters were Puerto Rican nationalists, Geraldo got all uncomfortable and wanted to change the subject. But it was his own brother that brought it up!

Sarah Palin has no history of violence or any history of inciting people to violence. She is as disconnected to this event as a bull frog. Tea Party people and Republicans have no history of violence.

For fun though let us say that is not the case. Let us say that the tea Party and Republicans are murderous thugs. And that as the media seems to be saying we all know it. If true why would this congressperson, her aides and others go out in to the public without some serious security. Why would they even have this event? Why would they not warn the public that they were in danger and 9 year old kids might get hurt or killed?

There are URLs for the Screen Shots of Jared Loughner's web pages before the LEFT attempted to scrub the sites.
